Chapter 28After the run, my appetite has returned with a craving for Aiden's cheesy mushroom omelets, which I haven't had in over a year, not since Judith. Aiden always stocks the kitchen with breakfast basics. In the fridge, I grab two eggs, Provolone and Swiss cheese, a red bell pepper, shiitake mushrooms, and search the pantry for onions and garlic. I start preparing ingredients when my cell phone beeps intermittently on the coffee table. I sigh, retrieve the mobile, and notice five texts from Hannah and Michelle, and several voice messages from Aiden, Bruce, Chase, and Kevin.
