Chapter 6“Working on a Saturday Miss Collins?” The security guard at 570 Lexington asks as I enter the office building lobby. “Wheaton got you working hard these days—two weekends in a row,” he says. “Always,” I say with a dry grin and hand him my employee I.D. “I left some work behind. I'm just picking it up.” He studies the I. D. and places it in my hand with a grin. “Don't work too hard Miss. You know what they say—” “Yep, all work and no play makes a dull Kayla,” I say ambling toward the elevator and stepping inside. Pushing the button to the thirty-eight floor, and anxiously gnawing on my bottom lip, I pray everyone's left for the company weekend.
