Chapter 8

Belle's POV

When I walk into my apart everything is quiet. "Amber?" I call out, and walk towards her room. I open her door, but she's not in there.

I guess she must have gone out. I walk up to my room to take a nap, but to my surprise, amber is on my bed sleeping.

She looks exhausted, huge circles under her eyes. I go over to her, take her shoes off and cover her with a blanket.

I sigh and go back to her room, and decide to sleep there.

Amber's POV

I am so worried about Belle. Where is she? She has never disappeared like this before. And she is injured.

I haven't slept in 24 hours, so I go up to Belle's room and lie down. I really miss her.

I wake up sometime later, my shoes off and a blanket around me. Who did that?

I silently creep down the hall and peek into my room.

"Belle?!" I scream and rush over. She jumps and wakes up. I hug her and start crying. She hugs me back and rubs my back.

I stand up and glare at her. "b***h where the hell have you been. I've been so worried about you. YOU CAN'T JUST LEAVE THE GODDAMN HOSPITAL WITH NO NOTE TO ME" I scream at her.

She looks up guiltily. "Sorry Amb, I was with the owner of the hospital" he took me to his house, because he hit me with his car" she tells me simply.

" Wait,WHAT? YOU GOT HIT BY A CAR?" I am shocked. Why didn't she tell me.

"Yes sorry about just leaving" she says sheepishly. "Yea Bee you better not EVER do that again" I tell her sternly, and hug her again.

We decide to order Chinese food takeout and watch a movie. She starts explaining everything that happened.

I listen, but I already know what happened. The man who showed up here earlier told me the same story, but he left out a few details, LIKE HIM KILLING SOMEONE.

But I still like him, since he took care of Belle. "So this Dominic, is he cute?" I ask teasingly, knowing she has never been attracted to anyone before.

To my surprise she blushed. "Oh my god girl, you like him!" I say. She shakes her head, "he's just really handsome and kind" she says quietly.

"You know, an extremely handsome man showed up at our door earlier, asking about you. I think it might of been him." I tell her.

"Really?" She asks. Then I see her face darken. "Has uh Adrian come by?" She asks softly. She looks scared.

I sigh and decide to tell her the truth. "Yes Bee, he came by yesterday. He was furious" I tell her.

She starts shivering and her eyes tear up. "You know, you should tell Dominic about him, maybe he can do something, he seems pretty powerful" I tell her hopefully.

But she shakes her head. "No, I don't want to drag him into this, he's done enough for me already".

"Okay girl, but if Adrian tries something again tell me right away okay?" I tell her.

I swear to myself that if he touches her one more time I will find Dominic and make him do something. He's pretty big and scary looking, and he seems to care about Belle.

Belle's POV

The next week passes peacefully. My leg starts healing, and it doesn't hurt as much.

Thankfully I haven't seen Adrian at all. I go to class and go straight home these days.

I haven't seen or heard from Dominic at all, and I sort of miss him. He made me feel safe.

Right now I'm in a biology lecture. Amber's beside me, looking like she's about to fall asleep. I have to admit this is really boring.

After class Amber goes to the bathroom, and I wait in the hall. "Hey babe, long time no see" I hear the voice I've been dreading to hear. I knew I would eventually see him.

I turn around. "Hey Adrian" I say while looking down. He comes closer and whispers in my ear "you little b***h, you're dead".

I shiver and blink away tears. I knew what was coming. He grabs my wrist and starts pulling me with him. I struggle and look around the hall to see if anyone is there. It's deserted. "No Adrian please, I'm sorry. Please let me go" I beg him. He turns around and slaps me. I fall to the ground with my cheek stinging. "Shut the f**k up you slut" he grabs my hair and pulls me up. I scream in pain, but he just covers my mouth and puts over his shoulder.

He starts walking towards his car. No, I can't go with him. I start kicking, and one kick hits him in the face. He groans and drops me. I get up ready to run, but he grabs me and punches my face. I black out with the force of the punch.

Dominic's POV

It's been a week since I've last seen my gattino. I am worried about her, but her body guards say she's fine.

My phone starts ringing, jerking me out of my thoughts. It's one of Belle's body guards. I answer quickly.

"Boss, we were standing outside her college like you asked, and we saw someone punching her and she blacked out. We couldn't get there fast enough, since the guy out her in his car and drove away. We tried following him, but we lost him in the traffic." I hear is frantic voice.

I hang up immediately and start calling people to track her and get me her location. I rush to her college with Lucas, to find her best friend looking for Belle.

"AMBER" I yell at her, and she rushes over immediately. "Oh my god, you're Dominic right?" She asks me. I nod. "Do you know where Belle is? I looked everywhere, but I can't find her. I hope Adrian didn't take her!" She says with a scared face.

Adrian, her boyfriend. s**t. "Amber, do you know where he lives?" I ask her and she nods. "Okay, I need you to come with us and give us directions." "Okay, let's go, if he has her we need to get there as soon as possible" she says and starts running to my car with Lucas.

I knew there was something fishy with him. I race to my car, and amber starts giving me directions.

10minutes later we arrive at a very fancy condo. What a coincidence, I own this exact one.

I demand the secretary to tell me where an Adrian is staying. She tells me and the 3 of us burst into his room.

I see my Belle on the floor sobbing, with new bruises on her face. Adrian that fucker is standing above her screaming at her.

I take out my gun "GET THE f**k AWAY FROM HER" I roar and shoot at him. I stumbles back, the bullet catching him in the shoulder.

He holds is shoulder, glares at me and runs out the door. What a coward. I should have killed him.

I rush towards Belle, and pick her up. Amber and Lucas also run over, and see how she is. Amber starts crying when she sees Belle's face, and Lucas pulls her into a hug.

I sit down with Belle on my lap, and hold her. That's it she's coming home with me. I'm never letting her go after this. She's mine and will always be mine.
