Dani and Piper spent their morning picking up Dani’s car from the repair shop. Piper stood in the lot with the invoice in hand, walking around it twice.
“They did a great job,” she declared. “I don’t see a scratch on it.”
Dani laughed. “You’d be more impressed if you’d seen what it looked like before.”
Piper frowned. “I wish you would’ve taken pictures.”
“It was a memory I didn’t need.” Dani pressed the fob and unlocked the doors.
Piper climbed into the passenger seat and buckled herself in. “Looks like they detailed the inside too. Nice.”
“They should have, for what I paid.” She turned the key in the ignition. “We headed straight home or do you want to grab coffees and breakfast somewhere?”
