I left Quinn in the hallway and walked back to the ballroom. Hopefully, our short absence would go unnoticed by people. Returning to the ballroom, Evelyn waved me over to where she and Leo were still standing, talking with Alpha Amadeo. As I got closer, Evelyn narrowed her eyes, then gave me a smirk, like she knew what Quinn and I had just done. I stifled my laughter, trying to compose my face as Amadeo turned to look at me.
