My eyes flew open, and I stared at the dark, cloudy night sky. Sitting up, I realized all the snow on the ground before was gone. Leaving only short green grass behind and a quiet forest, as if a blanket muffled every sound. I saw no wildlife looking around, but there was something warm and soft next to me, and as my hand ran through Ezra’s dark, thick fur, I realized this wasn’t reality. It might not have been reality, but I remembered exactly what had happened. Quinn had run off to carry out some plan with the Rogue King, and when I confronted her, she injected me with wolfsbane.
