Chapter 4 I went to the bags to see the damage was more than I had thought. What would make them throw my things outside like that? I entered the house to see a maid cleaning out my pictures that had been broken. “I see you’re still here,” said a familiar voice behind me. I turned to see Greg and Silvia looking at me through mocking eyes and I knew I was in for a ride. “You did all of this?” I asked, pointing to the pictures shattered around the room. “I did more than that. You’ll need to understand that you aren’t needed any longer,” said my sister as I frowned. “You two lied about me and you two are going to pay for everything you’ve done.” Greg stepped forward with his hands turned into fists like he was about to pummel me into the ground. “What are you going to do? Huh? Beat me like a slave?” I asked him. But he stepped back with a slight chuckle. “You’re not worth hitting,” he chuckled. “In fact, you’re not worth my time at all. I don’t care what you do and where you go. Get the f**k out of my house and stay the f**k out.” “This is my house too!” I yelled. “Not anymore you stupid girl. I also changed the locks. You should know your place.” “You changed my name from being in those shares to that of my own sister!” I yelled. “After everything I did to bring the company to this level. After all I’ve done, this is how I’m being treated. You didn’t even respect me enough to let me know. “I gave you everything. I didn’t even steal from you or treat you badly. Why are you doing all of this to me? Just tell me why? Even after all I did for you.” He laughed out loud making me feel stupid. “I’m not only going to change your name from the shares, I’m going to take away my last name from yours and hand it to your sister,” he said. “You don’t deserve to be a Klaus.” “What? No you cannot. You can’t do that!” “Watch me,” he walked to my sister, spanking her butt before grabbing her waist as they walked up the stairs. “Close the door on your way out. Take what you can before you leave or you won’t be able to come back in.” Having to watch my husband get close to my sister in a s****l way hurt me so much that I could not think of anything else. I hated him for everything. I should have put my efforts into something else instead of pleasing him. In anger, I got out of the house, grabbed my things which I dumped into my car and started for a club. I didn’t have a place to sleep but that would be sorted after I had drank a few beers. Solutions would come up later on. Driving through the traffic while I cried hit me hard. It was a Saturday and I was to be home in bed with my husband doing absolutely nothing but having the best time of my life, yet here I was, driving to a bar to drink out my sorrows. When I entered the club, I found it to be bubbling with life. It wasn’t my kind of party but I had no choice. A clock on the wall told me it was eight in the evening. Spending the entire day having to deal with the lawyer, then my parents, Greg and traffic. It was a lot to deal with on a Saturday. I headed for the counter, ordered a drink which was brought for me as I downed them all. I sat beside a couple of men talking about how their wives were too clingy to them and was shocked at how men could be so terrible. It wasn’t my business so I turned away. “Excuse me,” someone said to me as I looked up to see a man with a gorgeous smile. He wasn’t that bad and I admired the way he looked. “Hey,” I said back at him. “What’s a hot girl like you doing in a place like this?” His pick up line was lame and I had heard it a thousand times but I was willing to hear what he had to say. “And I’m guessing I should be with you?” I took a sip from my drink before waving for more to be brought to me. “I’m pretty sure I can make you very happy.” I laughed heartily, the effects of alcohol beginning to take over. “That was a very nice line. I’m impressed.” I asked for more information about him which I got before leaning back in my seat. When he was done, I knew what I wanted to do next. Greg had been terrible to me and hooked up with my sister. I needed to forget him. Here before me was the perfect opportunity to do so. There was alcohol and a stranger to have that hot steaming s*x with, but I didn’t want to do it. I had my eyes set on other things. “I’m sorry sweetie,” I said in a polite way. “But I’d like to be alone now. How about you run along and go play with some other doll who wants you to be their lover?” The man looked terrified by how I spoke to him which had him stepping back before walking off with a sneer. He was clearly mad at me but I didn’t care. I was here to drink my sorrows away after the losses I had incurred. I grabbed the drinks I had gotten from the counter and started to a table to sit on when I was joined by a man whom I recognized but refused to talk to. “Go away,” I said in anger. “This is my night and you are not ruining it for me.” He chuckled, getting out his ID card to show me. “Derrick lightning of Destruck compâ...” I raised my hand to halt him before he could finish. “I know who you are,” I sighed. “I’m just not interested in you. You work for a rival company of my husbands and he somehow ran you out of business.” “You worked alongside him,” the man smiled. “But my sources say you two have split up.” “I haven’t split up with my husband. We’re still pretty much together. As for you, I’d suggest you leave before I call the cops.” He chuckled. “I’m not here to start up a fight, but what he did to you after all these years of putting up with his bullshit isn’t right.” Now he was getting on my nerves. “What do you even know he did to me?” I growled in his direction. “My husband loves me.” “I’m sure he does, that was why he found your sister worthy of all your assets and shares in his company. Do you even know what that means? It literally means you’re jobless and poor. Even your own parents don’t even want you anymore.” “Stay out of my personal business,” I growled. “This has nothing to do with you.” We sat silent for a while, the music around the club getting into our heads as he leaned forward. “Listen, he might be the leader of his company but I know how you can get back at him.” I shook my head. “I’m not listening to you. I’m going home.” “Lady, you don’t even have a home to go to. Your account is dry. The only thing left is your car but he can’t take that because it’s a gift from a friend. I’d suggest you come with me and work on a business plan with me.” I knew Greg was probably banging my sister right now but I would not let this maniac from an opposing company make me betray my husband. “I will never betray my husband to be with the likes of you,” I sneered, staggering backwards a bit before receiving a buzz on my phone. I looked at it to find out it was a text from my husband. A divorce file. I opened it to find out he had signed it and my own signature was needed. If I failed to sign it then I would be arrested within the week. It was really happening. I was about to be single again. I looked at the man before me. I had helped Greg take down his company and now that we both had a common enemy, instead of trying to get away from the man, what if I decided to help him get back at Greg for ruining my life. That did not look like a bad idea. That was simply me having revenge for what he had done. I walked to the chair to sit on it as I placed my hands on the table. “I’m listening,” I said with grave seriousness. “I’m glad you’re about to work with me,” he said, getting out a file which he pushed to me. “But you have to agree to my terms first. You are to take over my company as a CEO and be the face and the heart of the company. I’ll give you fifty five percent of the shares which is about two hundred billion dollars and my houses, cars and yachts all belong to you.” I narrowed my eyes at the man before me. He didn’t look a day over fifty, why was he giving me all his things? “I don’t understand,” I shook my head. “You want me to take over everything you own?” He nodded. “Yes. You get to have all the resources to live on top again.” “Why?” “Because I’m dying of cancer and in a year I won’t be able to even breathe. I need someone to handle this and there is no better one to give this to than a woman who can handle a company better than anyone in the world.” I felt flattered he would say that as I blushed. “I watched what you did for your husband. You grew his company from a billionaire business to a trillionaire business. You sign contracts every f*****g day. I want that for my business and I want you to promise me that you’ll take down that son of a bitch.” “What’s the catch?” “Grow my company and take control over it, but crush your husband and give me peace when I’m gone.” I could do that. I nodded as I took the pen he handed to me and signed the document. I was ready to bring down Greg. I would make sure he fell from grace to grass. I put him there, I will take him down. “When do I start?” I smiled at the man.
