Krista was awake and screaming her head off when the police arrived. Bryony and Georgia, now fully dressed and Georgia able to breathe better, watched as she was plucked off the floor and almost carried out of the room. The knife was retrieved and Georgia was offered an ambulance ride, but Georgia refused. She was more concerned about Bryony, who was pale and shivering even with a thick jumper on.
They had to go and give their statements. Bryony didn’t want to be separated from Georgia, but they had to be interviewed on their own. Georgia made a quick call to Amelia, who was waiting for them at the precinct when Georgia and Bryony arrived. Bryony ran to her friend and broke down, clinging onto Amelia as she sobbed. Georgia wanted to go to her, but she was already being led off.
