CHAPTER 28

2007 Words

BRIANA MORRIS The dinner to discuss the purchase and sale of the Bellagio ends an hour and a half later. Without giving me much of a chance to continue interacting with the two men at the table with us, Denner quickly sends them away. I even feel embarrassed by the way Denner dismisses them. They seem to want to continue the night somewhere else, and why not? After all, we're in Las Vegas, a place completely new to me. I wish I could at least go out a bit from the hotel and explore the city, or at least experience everything the Bellagio has to offer. But Denner seems to have other plans to ruin my night, practically dragging me to the elevator. "You were ridiculous talking to a man you barely know like that. Ridiculous!" he emphasizes, really trying to demoralize and belittle me.
