Chapter 12The long train ride to Boston from New York was relaxed and exciting at the same time. Alex felt like a kid on an adventure, and he could tell that Xander was in a similar state. Alex had opted for a gray cashmere sweater and a button-down shirt, plenty warm under his down parka, although it wasn’t quite cold enough to need it in New York yet. Xander had worn his workaday blue blazer over a pink button-down, and had chosen a trench coat, a garment so stodgy that Alex had to wonder if his grandfather had given it to him. The pink of his shirt, however, set off his warm brown skin perfectly. Alex had opted for gray because his pale skin was hard to match to most colors. Gray at least made him look rosy by contrast.
