The sickening smell of sweat from teenagers going home after finishing their sport activities was trapped inside the pimped out shuttle bus. Although they could’ve opened a window, no one dared to give the scorching heat a chance to fly inside the air conditioned space.
Lili had a stroke of luck, because the bus only departed once every hour, and the driver was already closing the doors when she arrived. Thanking the man, she bought a ticket and sat down on one of the seats in the back of the bus. Normally, she would’ve let the outside world’s stimuli distract her, but she knew that she would always be drawn back to her own thoughts.
