When we made it to my parents' house, Panther and Ox pulled in behind me. Dad's bike was in the driveway, so I knew that he was here. As I opened my door, I reached over to the passenger seat and grabbed my purse and my phone from the phone holder.
As I stepped out of the car, Dad and Grandpa Brick stepped outside onto the porch. "Hey, old man, how are you doing?" I heard Ox ask my grandpa. "Doing better than your ugly ass," grandpa told him. They started trading insults back and forth, and I just laughed and shook my head.
I went to the back of the car and grabbed a small bag of food that I got to keep here and the dog bowls. Then I went to the back door. As I was doing that, I looked at Dad and said, "I thought that you were busy?"
