One week later
I glanced over at my phone a million times waiting for Vivian’s call. She invited me over to her house for lunch, so she could introduce me to her mother—much more to say our mother. I don’t know whether I should say I was scared, nervous, or excited. I know seeing her will trigger all the memories. I had rehearsed in front of the mirror how I would keep my composure. However, as time kept getting nearer, it made me more nervous.
