As Cory walked into the living room, Kate's eyes widened in surprise. She flew out of the couch and landed on Cory's chest, wrapping her arms around him tightly. "Cory!!!!??" she shouted, her voice filled with excitement. But as she looked up at Cory's face, her expression changed to anger. "For how many years... Manny?" she said, her voice laced with sadness. She turned away from him, walking back to the couch, and Cory's smile faltered. Kane, who had been watching the exchange, put on a sad look. "Maama, you know I've been in school and I've never had the time to come home, but I'm here now, right?" Cory explained, trying to placate Kate. But Kate wasn't having it. "No text, no calls, wow, you didn't even miss me," she said in a childish voice, her eyes welling up with tears. Cory's face fell, and he quickly pulled Kate into a hug. "I wouldn't dare, I missed the hell out of you, pookie. Come here," he said, his voice filled with affection. As they hugged, Kane snickered and said, "You would have made junk food... right?" Kate shot him a look, and Kane quickly grabbed Cory's bags and rushed up the stairs, knowing he had touched a sensitive spot. The next morning, at Luther's College Australia, a black Ferrari drove into view, and a tall, light-skinned lady stepped out, dressed in a jumpsuit that revealed all her curves. The students couldn't help but stare, and murmurs of admiration filled the air. "Wow, such a beauty," one student said, his voice filled with awe. "The boobs," another student chimed in, and the crowd erupted into catcalls and whistles. But the lady, Kate, ignored all the attention and walked straight into the building, her eyes fixed on the door. As she walked, she bumped into Jeremie and his friends, Scott and Ralph. "Whoa, that's the chick that beat you, right, Jay?" Scott said, teasing Jeremie. Jeremie hit him, making him snap out of his nasty thoughts, and Kate walked past them, her eyes fixed ahead. The students watched in shock as Kate walked past the RJS trio without a word. "What?! She walked past them without a word?" one student murmured. "They didn't stop her," another student said, looking confused. Melissa, who was standing nearby, looked furious. "What's going on between them?" she asked, her voice low and menacing. "Something's up," one of her minions said, looking nervous. As Kate walked away, Melissa's eyes narrowed. "I'm fully convinced that there's something going on," she said. "I mean, I know Ralph to be very fierce. That someone would pass him without a bow?" Emily, one of Melissa's friends, tried to calm her down. "Yes, that's true, but how is that possible? She's just a new student." But Melissa wasn't having it. "I don't know, but I won't be double-crossed," she said, her voice cold. As she walked past the students, she hit a few of them, making them cry out in pain. "Rude," the crowd murmured. Suddenly, someone from the crowd murmured, "She can never get Ralph's heart... pfft." Melissa's head snapped around, her eyes blazing with anger. "Did someone just breathe? I heard it loud and clear." The crowd fell silent, and someone was suddenly pushed out of the crowd. "Oh, it's you, the little bird who has grown wings," Melissa said, her voice dripping with malice. "You guys really have no respect here, do you?" Melissa flicked her fingers, and two guys were picked out of the crowd to t*****e Zoe. "You know what to do in 5 minutes," she said, stepping aside. But just as the t*****e was about to begin, a feminine voice shouted, "And that's enough, y'all." The crowd parted, revealing a new student who was not afraid of Melissa. "Who dares?" Melissa asked, her voice cold and menacing. The students looked on in shock as the new student walked forward, her eyes flashing with defiance.
