‎Kate's eyes widened as she tried to avoid the collision. "Watch out!!" she screamed, but it was too late. The books in her hands went flying, and she bent to pick them up. "My bad, you should have shifted," a voice said with a smirk, followed by the sound of laughter. Kate sighed and rolled her eyes. "Whatever." ‎As she stood up, Kate took a deep breath and tried to compose herself. She had just transferred to Luther's College in Australia, and she was determined to start fresh. "Yea, yea, I see you don't know me, I'm Kate and I am new in this college, and the first set of people I encountered are dogs.. Jeez. Anyways, I'm tryna find my class, do you mind helping... It's 9:03 am, and I am LATE!! See ya around, and I'm a twin too. Gosh, will I find my class." Kate muttered to herself as she checked her watch for what felt like the hundredth time. ‎Finally, Kate arrived at her Sociology class at 9:17 am. She took a deep breath and pushed open the door. Mr. Antonio, the teacher, raised his brows. "Are you for this class?" he asked curiously. Kate nodded, trying to play it cool despite her racing heart. "Yes.. Ye.. Yes, sir. Sorry, I'm late. I was trying to locate this class." She forced a smile, which faded almost immediately as she scanned the room for an empty seat. ‎"Come in and please introduce yourself," Mr. Antonio said, his voice firm but friendly. Kate took a deep breath and began. "Alright, a blissful morning to you all. I'm Kate, and I hope I'm welcomed." Her smile faltered as she walked to her seat, feeling all eyes on her. ‎The rest of the class was a blur. Kate tried to focus on the lesson, but her mind kept wandering. When Mr. Antonio dismissed them at 10:15 am, Kate let out a sigh of relief. As she packed up her stuff, the whispers and giggles around her made her roll her eyes. "She's so finee !!!" someone murmured. "Now, that's Melissa and her minions – beauty all in one person," another student chimed in. Kate raised her head, and all eyes were on her. She quickly gathered her belongings and left the class, heading to the café. ‎As she spotted Kane, her twim, Kate called out, "Hey, Manny!" He turned around, smiling, and put his arms around her. "What's up, chicka?" he asked, and Kate replied, "Good, you?" he asked how her first day and first class was treating her, making Kate turn around for a cross-check. "Good! No issues for now," she replied, and Manny furrowed his brow. "For now? You sure no one touched you?" he asked again, and Kate smiled wildly. "Nahh, I'm good. I'm good." ‎As they walked to the café, Kate couldn't help but notice the atmosphere in the college. It seemed like everyone knew each other, and cliques were already forming. Kate sighed inwardly. She had transferred to Luther's College to start fresh, to leave her past behind. But it seemed like history was repeating itself. ‎Meanwhile, Melissa, Sharon, and Emily emerged from their group, their eyes fixed on Kate. "She has this bad aura, and I saw Ralph staring at her with a smile. Who does she think she is? I'll beat her in everything, won't I?" Melissa asked, her voice dripping with venom. Her minions backed her up, and Kate couldn't help but wonder what she had done to deserve their wrath. ‎As Kate walked away with Kane, she couldn't shake off the feeling that she was in for a wild ride. Little did she know that this was just the beginning. ‎* ‎Writers' note: Hi, I'm Kane, Kate's twin. You might be wondering what Kate's like. Well, let me tell you – she's a nice soul when she becomes comfortable, but can be a snub and a nerd at times. She's usually an IDGAF type of girl, very stubborn, but deep down, she's great. I'll see you around! ‎* ‎As the days went by, Kate settled into her new routine. She made a few friends, including Kane, and tried to navigate the complex social dynamics of the college. But she couldn't shake off the feeling that Melissa and her minions were watching her, waiting for her to slip up. Kate steeled herself, ready to face whatever challenges came her way. She was determined to make the most of her time at Luther's College and prove to herself that she was capable of overcoming any obstacle. ‎The café was bustling with students grabbing a quick bite or studying for their next exam. Kate and Kane joined the queue, chatting about their plans for the weekend. As they waited for their coffee, Kate's mind wandered back to her conversation with Melissa. Who was she, and what did she want? Kate shrugged, pushing the thoughts aside. She wasn't going to let anyone bring her down. ‎As they walked out of the café, Kate felt a sense of determination wash over her. She was going to make the most of her time at Luther's College, and no one was going to stop her. Not even Melissa and her minions. Bring it on, Kate thought, a fierce glint in her eye.
