I gasped as I took in the decor that Xavier had set up for us. The bed was covered in a white comforter with twinkle lights behind it. He had installed a skylight over the bed since the last time we were here. There were silver and black rose petals spread out over the comforter. The small table covered in a silver cloth held chilled wine and wine glasses. Xavier and I hadn't been able to find a moment alone since the death of our fathers and he was ready to make up for the lost time. Most newly mated Lycans were able to spend the first few weeks locked in their bedrooms but Xavier and I weren't normal Lycans and our responsibilities outweighed our desire for each other no matter how strong it was.
