Chapter 8

I saw them fighting. It was intense. I also saw Ashley coming back inside crying.

I don't know what happened. But lucus and Ashley both were in pain. Something must have gone wrong. I saw lucus running towards the forest.

So before I could even think my legs were taking me towards lucus. I know my sister should have been my priority but I can't stop my feet from not going to lucus. I see the forest in the evening glow. I couldn't see anyone. My steps take me deep into the forest. The evening glow slowly fading.

I just keep on walking not really realizing the cuts. Not realizing that I am walking into the forest without my boots on just a ridiculous slipper. Getting all the cuts. I stop when I hear a growl.

I look behind me. But I couldn't see a thing. But the growl never stops. I follow the sound and I reach a creek. There I see a mighty wolf. It was big. With the fur as deep as the night sky. And without anyone's confirmation I know. I just know him being lucus. Lucus, my Luke, finally gained his wolf.

I couldn't contain my happiness. Since childhood I have wanted to see Lucus in his animal form. And he looks absolutely gorgeous.

I don't go to him. He knows I am here. So I wait. I see him drinking from the creek. He drinks as if he have never had a drink till now.

Then he comes to me. I look into him golden eyes. The glow looks brighter than an early glowing sun.And I feel a weird sensation in my heart. I feel tingling all over my body. I feel my heart's palpitations.

He comes close and muzzles me. I feel his soft fur. He playfully growls at me and I couldn't help laughing from deep within me. I can't help the sign that leaves my lips. I put my hands around his head. My feel his head on my shoulder.

" So you got your wolf. Huh? " His furs all so soft. " Talk about getting your wolf before your birthday. You and your fastest alpha gene. " I laugh.

I hear him give me a wolf laugh. I hope that was a laugh. Then I don't know how but I knew he wants to explore the forest in his wolf. He wants to rub the forest in his scent. He wants to show the dominance if being an alpha.

" Go. I know you can't wait to run. I'll be here. I'll wait for you. Go the forest is calling you out. " His wolf didn't need any more encouragement. He licks my cheeks.

" Gross Luke. " I laugh and push his away.

It doesn't take much time before he leaps in the air to tear through the forest.

I wait for him. I saw them fighting. I was sacred to ask him what that was all about. But knowing or unknowingly I know that it was about me.

I was always in denial about my feelings for him. But the weird feeling just went up the notch when I saw Lucus's wolf and I can't deny that. How do I deny my feeling for him. I did for a long time. Now I don't know if I can pretend anyone. I can't pretend not loving him for years. I just can't pretend it to myself.

And for the first time I don't let this voice overpower me. Being he doesn't feel like hers. He feels like mine.

I was startled with the voice. I have always heard weird voices here and there. But this voice was extremely loud. So forceful. Like it came within me. Finally being able to break free. And it comes out of no where.

The voice keeps singing in my head. I look around startled the hell out .

I feel a glow within me. The winds all encricling me. I feel a thunder within me.

The weird voice keeps shouting inside my head. Then I hear another voice.

I don't know how I know it. This all being some weird s**t. But I knew it was the voice of my wolf. I have never felt my wolf untill now. But I feel it. It was screaming inside my head.

I couldn't stop this voice. I wanted it to stop. I wanted everyone to stop screaming. And then again I hear this werid creepy voice.

The alpha

I hear the giggling before I collapse into the sweet embrace of nothingness.

LUCUS:

I run in my wolf form. Seeing everything with a different view. The wolf within me was proud. He is everything that I always wanted. He knows who owned this territory. He knows his duty. He wants to know his pack mates. But I stop him there.

We will meet our packmates but after our birthday.

My wolf tries to deny it but he must have heard the resolution in my voice.

I move deep into the forest. I run through the jungle. I see the minute details. The minute weaving of the spider wave. The minute ants taking their food into their nest. I see everything with great visibility.

I loved having my wolf eyes. Then I feel the deep hunger in me. I then go out for a hunt. I see a herd of deer grazing around.

I have never hunted as a wolf. But I was in me. I let my wolf take over. And before I even know it I was tearing down the deer's meat. Oh how sweet it tasted.

I eat and eat until I feel full and could brust. I go in search of a creek. Drink water and just lay down taking it all in.

I know Vanessa is waiting for me. But right now I wanted to be lazy.

Just when I was about to take a nap I hear my wolf getting all alert. I don't know how but I know she is in trouble. I could feel the change in her emotion.

That's all it took for me to sprint through the forest in search of her. Her sweetsmell of jasmine and sandalwood. Engarved in me.

I watch her through my wolf eyes. There I see my butterfly was unconscious.

Before I knew I gained my human skin. I knew the pack mates stored clothes by making small hole in wood. I went to one tree and couldn't thank my luck when I found some clothes.

I quickly dressen up and move towards Nessa.

" Butterfly. Butterfly wake the f**k up? What's wrong?" She stirs in my arm.

" Mine." She lookes at me before she faints into my arm once again.
