18 The blood drained out of my face, leaving me light-headed. We stared at each other. I’d been caught red-handed, and we both knew it. My initial instinct was to run. Flee down the stairs and out of the house. He probably wouldn’t leave the kids alone to follow and kill me. Unfortunately, Mr. Zimm stood between me and the door.
