I froze upon seeing this. It was as if there was some unknown force, that was stopping the fork from moving to pierce me. Cassio swiped his hands and the fork fell to the ground with a clang sound.
“What in f***s name just happened?” Cassio muttered, looking as shocked as I was.
“What happened? Did the fork hit Amelia?” Charles stood up, rushing towards us. He didn't see what had happened as Cassio's back was facing him.
“I’m so sorry, I only meant for the fork to hit the i***t. Where did it hit you?” He asked, checking me for any sign of injury.
“No, no. I wasn't hurt. It's just…it's just…” I muttered incoherently, shocked by what had happened.
