Two worlds apart

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL

It was a bright Monday morning, the sun was rising from the east bathing the world with it's beautiful golden rays, the birds were chirping away softly in the garden, the morning breeze was soft on the skin.

‎ Xenon had just woken up, she stretched her body and yawned, looking at the mirror, she observed her pale body which was sprawled on her white bed sheets, she scratched her messy hair and sighed.

‎Today was a very important day in her life , it was her first time schooling in the city, she felt a little bit nervous but immediately shrugged it off; " hmph" , she sighed and went into her bathroom to get ready for school.

‎ Few minutes later, she was dressed in a black hoodie and black Nike joggers, she slipped her feet into a pair Nike kicks, she walked over to her desk to pick up her bag. Before leaving her room she took a quick glance at herself at the mirror the said " perfect" before leaving the room.

‎ Alexa on the other hand was finishing up her make up, she looked so beautiful and elegant in the cropped hoodie and skinny jeans, she had a pair of Adidas shoes on , her designer bag hung on her left arm, she was looking so chic.

‎ "Oh I see you are all set for your first at at school! Well I'm glad to tell you that your new school is totally exquisite, you'll be given new uniforms when you get there, I'm sure you'll also make a lot of friends there ". Xavier announced as they walked towards the car. Celine was on her way to a seminar for flower dealers worldwide and she was invited, it was a really big opportunity to partner with a lot of flower dealers; even the high and mighty ones . She had gotten ready to make breakfast and rush off in order to get there on time , but still said bye to her family before zooming off.

‎ " I can't wait to get to my new school dad!", Alexa quipped in excitement, " well someone feels excited...... What about you Xenon are you excited?" Xavier asked using the mirror above him to take a quick glance at Xenon who was staring outside the window. "Of course Father, I am " she said in her hushed, cold indifferent tone of her's without looking at her dad. Xavier smiled and continued to focus on the road, he would soon be running late for work too.

‎Soon they arrived at their new school, it was a magnificent structure to behold.

‎This was like a dream come true for the girls, they were now attending the biggest school in the country.

Soon the were ushered in yo a dressing room by a kind and beautiful looking receptionist whose name was Sandra.

" Here are your uniforms, please put them on" , Sandra said giving them a kind smile as she handed them thier uniforms, the took it from her and went into the dressing room to wear their new school uniforms, and by the time they were done , they too were also looking expensive.

The uniform was made of the finest material, the blazers were crimson and, the inner long sleeves were black and neatly ironed, a silver badge was pinned to the left breast pocket indicating the school's symbol, the skirt, although quite short it was also black in colour with a pair of silver chains hanging down at one side of the skirts, the socks were made of silk and it felt so soft , it also gave their legs maximum comfort and protection due to the fact that it was up to their knee length.

They looked so cool and dazzling in the uniforms. " This is totes amazing damn " Alexa squealed for joy, Xenon on the other hand just kept on taking brief glances at herself with a faint smile on her lips. "Well , I'm so glad that you girls lice it ,and I promise that you'll also love it here, so once again welcome to luminary Academy. Come with me darlings, let me show you to your classes, shall we?" Sandra announced with a bright smile.

The twins followed her out of the dresser and soon they were in a large hallway with lockers standing erect on the sides, the hallway was a little bit weird which made them nervous... them? actually, Alexa was the one who was really nervous here, well as for Xenon, she just followed Sandra quietly with no form of expression on her face.....

‎Soon they arrived at a big classroom , a teacher was standing at the board scribbling some words on it, the students were visibly bored but we're still trying to pay attention to what was being written on the board. "You have new classmates!" Sandra announced to the whole class. "Oh delightful" the middle aged teacher turned away from the board to observe the new students. Soon multiple lair of eyes were on the twins which sent cold shivers down the spine of Alexa; she was nervous.

"Kindly introduce yourselves to us please" The teacher gestured kindly towards the girls. "Umm, well, my name is Alexa, I am fifteen years old, I love cheerleading, I'm a really cool person and I'd love to be friends with you all" Alexa said seizing her moment to introduce herself to the class. Everyone had their eyes on her, some were beaming with wide smiles on her face, alot of them had already liked her.

"Hi I am Xenon, nice to meet you all" Xenon introduced simply. "Is that all?" a short girl with big curly hair said with a disgust expression on her face, "Of course" Xenon gave a slight nod and sat on the seat that was already prepared form them.

Unlike Alexa, Xenon seemed to have created enemies on her first day.
