Two worlds apart

THE TWINS

Two years passed and the couple was blessed with a set of twins. They were so happy that their home was blessed with children, finally some noise in the house ........

‎ The twins were both girls, they were quite identical but were a little bit different.

‎ The first twin had a very beautiful appearance that screamed perfection and beauty. Her eyes were ocean blue, her Ivory skin shine brightly , her hair was raven black and it felt ...and looked like silk, her skin was soft and she had a very graceful appearance which made people think,'maybe she was from a royal family'.

‎Her name was Alexa and she was perfect.

‎ The second twin on the other hand was... well she was different from her sister. Instead of glowing , bright ivory skin, she had white pale skin, her hair was silver and her eyes were grey and void , she looked like a walking corpse and never like a princess. Well say hello to Xenon, the weirdest of the twins .

‎ Her condition made people and her parents worry. "Is she sick", "what specie is she " these were words that came out of the lips of the people who saw her and it made her parents really worried.

‎ Xavier and Celine went to different hospitals to look for the cure to their daughter's...well, ailment, but all the doctors told them that ‘she was absolutely fine’.

‎ "Well it looks like we've just got to accept her the way she is ”, Celine said looking at her husband with a weak smile .

‎Soon the twins started to grow, Alexa became more beautiful by the day and everyone loved her, even her teachers at school . She was very smart and participated in many activities; she was a really good ice figure dancer, and was in the junior cheerleading team at age 8, her parents were so proud of her. Alexa won alot of trophies including little miss Sunnyside junior beauty pageant when she was 10 years old, attracting alot of people far and near to behold her beauty, her life was just so perfect.

‎ Well, Xenon on the other hand was .... well Xenon was Xenon. She also grew as Alexa grew , her skin was still pale and her eyes were still grey and void , somtimes one could think that she was blind from birth. Xenon never socialized with anyone and soon she started to become lonely, no kid in Sunnyside wanted to associate with a gloomy, quiet, lonely girl. She never spoke , sometimes throughout the whole day , but she lived to help her mom in the garden to tend to the flowers , she would smile for a while and in a twinkle of an eye, the smile would be gone from her face . Though she didn't win alot of beauty pageant trophies, she was also the top of the class, Xenon won alot of math quiz trophies in the whole of Sunnyside. She was very intelligent and always brought home the best grades, this made her parents really proud of her.

‎"Hi Alexa! Tomorrow is my 15 year old birthday and I'd love that you'll come please" Betty a good friend of Alexa walked towards her at the cafeteria at school. "Really, that is wonderful, I'd be delighted!" Alexa squealed, "yay this is going to be epic ! But please your umm.... sister is not invited, I don't want dead people at my birthday , it's not a funeral " Betty said with disgust as she eyeballed Xenon who was busy munching on her lunch. "Huh?" Alexa tilted her head " Betty that was harsh and besides she can actually hear you " Alexa said in a hushed tone . "Nah , it's fine , I won't attend your birthday celebration as you wish" Xenon spoke in her usual hushed tone , she looked at Betty with no emotion in her eyes, stood up and left without any additional word.

‎"Must she be weird?" Betty asked , Alexa simply shrugged, "so, what do you say? Are you coming?, Betty said leaning towards Alexa and fluttering her lashes . " Of course I'll be there !" Alexa squealed for joy .

‎ The next day, Alexa got ready for the party while Xenon.. well Xenon just watched her sister get dressed for the party . "I'm so sorry you can't come Xenon" Alexa said as she turned towards her sister who was staring at her with those empty eyes, there was no emotion on her face, she sat still on the bed and made no movement, her countenance was dull as always. After a long stare, she said in her usual hushed tone voice "it's fine", then stared at the window and remained silent. "Umm, I'll bring you some cake !" Alexa tried to lighten up the weird conversation, Xenon tried to look at her sister , still with those void eyes of hers , she tilted her head and looked back at the window then said "ok". ...............

‎'Ok? ok? ... Was that all that she could say?' ....... Alexa was visibly boiling with frustration but she took a long sigh and said bye before leaving for the party.

‎ Immediately she left the room , Xenon looked at the door and continued to stare at the window with no form of expression on her ever pale face, she heaved a long sigh and continued to stare blankly at the window.

‎'Only God knew what was always on her mind '

‎Some hours later Alexa had arrived from the party, she was visibly exhausted, "hey Xenon I brought you some cake since you didn't attend the party" Alexa said with an awkward smile on her face. "Oh.... " Xenoblade responded in her indifferent tone, she walked towards her sister and took a short glance at the cake, " but it is quite unfortunate that I don't eat birthday cakes that belongs to people who do not respect other people...hmph.. I won't eat the cake , but thanks by the way, I'll be going to bed now , goodnight sister" Xenon said simply in her cold hushed tone voice as she walked to her bed.

‎"Ughhhhhh, what in the fifth heavens is wrong with you Xenon, it's not Betty's fault that you look like a weirdo all the time , what gives! You dress weirdly , you talk weirdly ,you even address people in weird manners, you don't call me by my name , I stead you just call me sister, what does this look like to you ? 1674? huh...I even brought you cake ! you are meant to eat it happily you doofus, but noooo you didn't and you expect me to take it like that... ughh you are so annoying!"

‎Alexa blurted out hotly at Xenon who was visibly not paying her ranting sister any form of attention..

‎" You know what? good night Xenon!" Alexa said win anger as she hopped on her bed and soon drifted off to dream land.
