The army led by the Duke of Serrano is expected to return to Spain in mid-to-late June.
After a week or so of rest, they can attend the coronation ceremony and have a small-scale military parade in Madrid.
The purpose of the military parade was simple. First, it was to celebrate Spain's successive resolution of domestic and colonial rebellions, finally bringing peace to the Spanish people.
Secondly, it also serves as a deterrent to republicans and other forces with ulterior motives within Spain. If the Spanish government can handle even the Carlo's faction and Cuba separatists, other forces will have to consider whether they can pose a threat to the Spanish government.
