Chapter 20
Nick watched in amazement as the alien reindeer flew around the craft. At the controls, the enforcers took the craft into a series of swerves and dives that left his stomach unsettled. Ice and water spun outside the windows, as the ice ceiling above and the ocean below changed places. At no point did he feel as if he was going to be thrown from his chair. He went from clutching the seat to relaxing. Apparently, the enforcers’ craft had inertial dampers or other similar seemingly magical technology that protected them from the forces of their flying.
Outside alien reindeer continued to fly and swoop around the craft. Then bright rainbow-hued energy discharges arced from the flying aliens and struck the craft.
