The village

“Can you tell me briefly?” She asked him to explain.
That man sighed and said, “The empire is far from here. If you go on a horse, it won’t take much time, but the dangers are more. On the path leading to the empire, there are more orcs. They often attack travelers and kidnap women and kill men.”
Angelina's expression changed. She knew about the orcs and their strength. Martha and Angelina both of them studied about all types of races out there. In their prime, Martha’s father collected everything about the outside world, including the demons too.
Including herself, they were the only ones there who could fight. The number to protect were more, if they go to empire and the orcs attack them. She was not confident that all of them could survive.
Martha approached her. “How about we settle here?”
”It would be nice to start a life here, I think. We can be free of everything.” She said to Angelina, putting a hand on her shoulder. They have both been friends since childhood. They studied together and grew up together.
Angelina pondered in thought. She looked at her friend, she placed her hand on Martha’s hand.
“You know, we have been living life for others all this time. Protecting them, watching over them, correcting them. You have suffered enough already. Let's just stay here if those demons come again. We will see at that time.”
“But now, at this moment, we will live in peace. Also, all of them are tired from this continuous journey.” Martha said to Angelina.
Angelina looked at them, they all seemed tired and about to collapse.
Then she decided, turning to that man.
“Can we stay here?” She said.
That man was confused and was saying something.
“We will build our houses. Just let us stay with you. My people are so exhausted, so can you provide them with something? It would be a great help to us.”
While they talked, all of the villagers came and stood behind the man.
A woman said, “They seem like they could use our help. Most of them are women. I think we should help them.” She
“My husband and I are the village heads. We will help you and you can stay with us,” she said.
Angelina's eyes almost teared up, they were all unknown people. They asked them for help and, without refusing them, they offered them help. She was feeling emotional. After abandoning their home, a complete stranger offered them help.
“We should help each other in times of need. Look at those children, it breaks my heart to see them. How many days has it been since they properly ate?” that man said with a sad expression.
Then that man also agreed to his wife’s decision.
They entered the village and made themselves familiar with them. The next day, some of the males of that group started building houses for them and, like that, they started living in that village.

Unaware of all these things happening in his home. Lucifer was sitting in the garden. He continued to practise every day. Sometimes, Leona took him to her office and they both attended military meetings. Lucifer was a knight of the empire, so he was allowed to go to military meetings. She took with her to military drills.
And whenever he got spare time, he would practice his swordsmanship.

In the Varda Kingdom, the demons have spread throughout the kingdom and occupied it. All of the demons in the realm of demons have shifted to Varda. That place has become their home.
After they arrive, if they see humans, they kill them on the spot. Thus, no humans were left in the Varda kingdom.
They didn’t attack the kodur kingdom as their king had already submitted to Mathews.
Second, the prince was unaware of the state of the Varda. He didn’t even know about his family. They were all scattered, not knowing where they were.
The news of the Varda kingdom’s demise had reached him somehow. He tried to go to the Varda but he was told that all of them were killed. He was stopped by his wife, he mourned for them and stayed in closed doors for days.
Now Mathews was talking to the king of kodur. Mathews asked him about the other human kingdom and its location. But the king didn’t know much about others as they only had kingdoms with vardas. No other kingdoms or regions were their surroundings within hundreds of miles.
Now that he was in the human realm, he was planning something and for that he needed human souls. He had already gotten more than half. He required just a little and he would finish what he started.
He came back to Varda after talking to the king of Kodur. He was in the room which was darker. And a person was kneeling in front of him. There was a black fog. smoke enveloped his body. It was going into his body. His eyes became pitch black and like an empty space.
He was the king of varda, Angelina’s son. His name was Dunkan. They spared him without killing him. It was Mathews who told them not to kill him. At that time, after killing the soldiers, Mathews went inside and saw Dunkan. His lips curved up into a smile. He raised his hand, then black smoke flowed out of his hands and engulfed Dunkan.
Dunkan’s body was trembling and his body slowly raised above the ground.

A month later.
In the house of Leona, Lucifer was in the garden again practising his skill. He was spending his days mostly with the sword so much that he was called sword maniac. Since he was a child, he had fancied a sword and dreamed of becoming a great swordsman.
He looked up at the sky and sighed. ‘It has been a while since I have gone out to fight. Maybe I should go out.’ He thought inwardly. He was staying in the house or with Leona. He decided to go out.
He walked into the hall, it was night. Everyone seemed to have slept. He walked towards his room. Then he noticed Leona had walked out of her room. She was wearing very thin clothes and long transparent clothes. She walked down the steps and saw Lucifer.
“Did you practise till now?” She said to him in a calm voice.
Lucifer simply nodded his head.
“I want to go out for a while. Can I,” He asked her.
“Where do you wanna go?” She inquired.
“To the dark forest, I guess,”Lucifer said. He explained to her what he wanted to do.
She folded her hands and pursed her lips. She said, “Why do you always want to fight?” She curiously asked him.
“If I don’t, then I won’t improve,” Lucifer replied instantly.
She sighed and said, “You can go. But you have to be careful, okay”, she said while rubbing his head.
Lucifer felt that his chest tightened, which made him hard to breathe. He then walked out of her hands' grip.
She went to the kitchen and got some water to drink. Then she returned to her room.
Lucifer kept staring at her until she went into her room. He also went to his room and slept on his bed.
After reaching her, she closed the door. She smiled and shook her head.
