I head to my temporary bedroom to begin packing, as well as rearranging the digital scheduler in my phone. I’m sure Tom will be aware of the slight change of plan once the notification pops up in his own phone.
Though I can’t help but wonder if I should bring the boy along with me. Traveling like this is bound to be dangerous. But then again, how else will he ever learn to defend himself, other than learning from experience? I make a mental note to start self-defence training sessions for him, when we’ve got the time to do it. I won’t always arrive on time to rescue him.
