Chapter 69: Underwater

When the boat finally sails us to our destination, the location appears abandoned. How can it not? I lost the funds the moment my parents pulled out from the plan. It only means that I’ll have to finish the job myself, though.
The sky is growing closer to dawn, so I know that I don’t have that much time left.
The moment we get there, I quickly strip down to my underwear and jump into the icy water. It takes a while to get used to the temperature, but thanks to still having some of Theo’s blood in my system, I grow used to the environment almost just as quickly. Being a cold blooded is the best.
Then I swim back to the surface to let Tom know that I’m okay.
