One word: vampires. We are an ancient race trying to survive in modern times. Our race is dying, ebbed away by a raging war that has lasted for thousands of years.
There used to be many of us, but now, so few of us are left. I ’ ve read about how large, powerful houses have fallen in the span of a single day. An entire clan, slaughtered mercilessly. One family can be completely obliterated in just one single attack. I ’ ve even seen some of it occur throughout my life.
It ’ s scary to think that immortals like us can die so easily. And we owe all of this terror to the werewolves, our arch nemesis.
