I hate it here. Ada is just down the mountain. I can sneak out. Would Seth even feel me cross since I’m the Alpha here? CAN he feel me cross here?
I get up and dressed, pulling my hat on. I don’t know why, but it makes me feel hidden. Slowly, I sneak down the stairs. Luckily, the stairs are stone, so there’s no creaking. Unfortunately, the door to the packhouse creaks loudly as I exit, so I don’t bother closing it.
“Get in bed,” Seth says, scaring me half to death.
“I can’t sleep.”
“Where do you plan to go?” he challenges me. He knows exactly where I’m planning to go.
I shrug, trying to get away from him. I can run faster than him. I just need to get away. “For a run.”
“Get in bed,” he growls. “You hate me for it now, but you’ll thank me later.
