Chapter 2 - First Meeting a Human in the Human World

"Isn't it hot here?" Sora said as he removed his fur covering, then put it on his arm. Mion, on the other hand, stood in awe as he looked around the place where they were. "Is this the human world?" They were in the forest, the end of the cave. Sora looked at him and chuckled. "I'm so happy to be back! Welcome to the human world, my Prince." "It's just the same as ours, but the scent of the air and land is different. It's really amazing that the cave behind the frozen Great Falls of our world connects to another forest in this world!" Sora nodded in agreement. "I think we should get out of here and ask for directions." Dusk came. They kept walking until they stopped by a river to get some fresh water. On the other side of the river, they saw an enclosed, shelter-like covered in sheets of plastic with a vertical line in the middle. The vertical line was zipped downward. Then a young man came out from the tent. He looked around in his 20s. He had dark brown eyes; short, slicked-back black hair, revealing his forehead. He had one silver hoop earring on his left and a silver chain necklace without a pendant. He wore black polo, leaving the two buttons from the top open, and white jeans. He stood outside his tent and took one stick from a pack of cigarettes and smoked. He noticed some gazes so he looked at the direction where Mion and Sora were. "Cosplay?" the man said to himself. He averted his gaze from them as if he didn't see them at all. He continued smoking. He looked up and noticed that there were now stars in the sky. He felt uncomfortable as he knew the two strangely dressed, long-haired men were still looking at him. He got annoyed and put the cigarette butt on his personal ashtray, the size as the pack. Another person came out of the tent. She had shoulder-length black hair. She wore a loose, sleeveless, crop-top shirt, revealing her small waist, and in shorts. She wrapped her arms on his neck. "Come on, babe. The food will get cold," she said to him. He locked his gaze at her and touched her face. "Sure, babe." The girl with him blushed and kissed him, but she stopped when she also noticed that there were gazes at them. "Don't mind them. They must be those weird cosplayers," he whispered and ushered his girlfriend back inside first. "Hey, men!" he shouted over to them. "Nice cosplay!" Then he followed inside. "'Cosplay'?" Both Mion and Sora asked each other. "But wait. The other person was a woman?" Mion asked, wondering. Sora answered yes. He added, "I think we should just sleep for now. We've been walking in the cave for five days and haven't had enough rest." "Yes. Let's camp here." And they rested behind a tree. "Sora," Mion called. "That man is a pure human like you, right?" "Uhm, yes." "There is really not much difference." Then he subconsciously looked up. "I need to find my sister soon." Looking blankly to the sky, he suddenly gasped. "It's full moon tonight, I'm running out of time." The next morning around the time of the sunrise, the same black-haired guy, with his hair now down over his eyebrows, came out from his tent and went over to the other side for a morning walk. He seemed to be still half-awake, but he became alert upon hearing some footsteps coming his way. He also noticed at the corner of his right eye one of the two weird-dressed men - Sora - sleeping with his back on the tree. He looked straight ahead to see who or what was coming. "A siberian husky?" he said as he narrowed his eyes. "No, wait." He was drawn more into seeing the animal coming his way. His jaw dropped when he realized that it was getting bigger and bigger as it came closer. The siberian husky he thought to be was more than five feet tall even with its four paws on the ground. It has thick, glossy silvery-gray fur and a pair of color blue on the left and golden yellow the color sunrise on the right. A heterochromia eyed wolf. "A wolf?!" He exclaimed. His legs froze. He wanted to walk back slowly but he couldn't move. "If I move, it might attack me," he thought. His heart beat faster and sweat dropped from his face and neck. The silvery-gray wolf walked elegantly, looking him in the eyes, but it was not growling nor showing any attempt to attack. On the other hand, Sora was now half-awake, but immediately stood up when he saw the big wolf. The black-haired guy turned to him with a face telling him to be aware of the danger the wild animal might do. Sora covered his face with his left palm and sighed. The black-haired guy was confused when Sora was not even feeling scared nor alert. "Um." Sora cleared his throat. "Maybe you can take your leave now, mister?" The other guy's heartbeat was slowly turning to normal. He could now move a little from being frozen in fear earlier. "Huh?" Sora pointed to the wolf. "My dog might attack you if you stay longer. I suggest you leave now." "That's not just a dog! That's a wild animal. A wolf!" Sora's calm face turned serious and walked toward him. "Yes. So please leave now." "A-alright." Then he turned his back, put his hood over his head and his hands on his side pockets. He started walking away. Subconsciously, he slowly turned his head as if wanting to see the wolf again. His eyes grew big in surprise when he witnessed the wolf seemed to be glowing under the morning's sun rays and turned into a man. It was the same handsome Mion, with his blue eyes and long silver hair. "What the - ?" Musica exclaimed in shock. Both Sora and Mion heard him. >>>>>through that cave? That's actually not passable. I mean, it's already been stated that it's just a dead-end cave. I've heard it's just two kilometres long and three kilometres wide. Some of my colleagues already tried going inside for a game of treasure hunting before. They said it's very small and there's actually nothing special inside, let alone the urine and feces of some bats." "But we really came from there," Sora said. "It must really be a magical portal." "Well, I don't believe in magic or sorts. Except just this happening." Musica's face softened as if the ice between them was slowly melting. He felt they were not bad people. "Hmmm..." Musica looked at Mion with curiosity. "So you're half-human, half-wolf. A werewolf." "No," Mion said. "We used to be human, but our clan's ability to turn into wolves is a curse. We are forced to shift into our wolf form every full moon. But we still have our sanity and consciousness. But we couldn't speak aloud, like this." "I'm actually amazed at how you turned back into your human form with your clothes intact! Normally in the movies, when they turn back to being a human, they're naked." Sora laughed shortly while Mion asked innocently and at the same time confused, "Movies?" "It's like watching some footage in a big screen or on TV with actors, actresses portraying a role; with music -" "What's a TV?" Mion interrupted. "Wait. I see," Musica said since he understood that he was really not familiar with the world here. "But he seems to know," he said, pertaining to Sora. "Well, I'm a human," Sora said. "I was born and grew up here until seven years old. Some things happen that I ended up in their world." And their conversation continued until Musica asked them. "Where will you first look for your sister? Do you have a picture, I mean, like a drawing of her image?" Both exchanged sad looks. "We have no idea where she is or what she looks like. But Father said that I will immediately know it when I see her." "Leap of blood, huh?" "Yes." "So where are you staying now?" Musica was now acting casually and friendly. Both of them didn't answer and looked like there's a question mark on each of their faces. Musica smirked and stood up. "I can offer you a place to stay." At the foot of the mountain where they had been, a long black car was parked. Some men in black uniform put the now disassembled tent inside the limousine. Musica's girlfriend wrapped her arms on his as if not wanting to let go. She and Musica's bodyguards looked at Mion and Sora because of their unusual appearance as if they both emit a different aura unlike normal people. "Ahem." Musica interjected to stop them from thinking too much about the two. "Let's go." They all went inside his limousine and drove to the city. The first stop was at the girl's place. The next and last stop was at Musica's private house.
