22 KELOWNA The ICU was busy when Chelsea and Chaz entered. The nurses’ station sat in the middle of the room, encircled by the patients’ rooms running against the outer walls. Each room had floor-to-ceiling glass windows across the front, enabling the station to observe each patient. One of the nurses motioned them over. “There’s a small reception room over in the corner. You can wait there. The doctor is with Mr. Gibb at the moment. He’ll talk to you when he’s finished.” “Thank you,” Chelsea said. They didn’t have to wait long. A tall, thin man in a white jacket came out of Wenner’s room. He talked with the nurse and headed towards them. His dark hair fell across his forehead in disarray. He looked tired. “Miss Grey?
