CHAPTER TEN: RISHA M y brain pounded against my eyes, hammering my dreamless sleep to force me into awareness. Squeezing my eyelids shut tightly, a tortured groan floated up from my depths. Struggling to roll my heavy body over, I took a deep, shuddering breath before flinging my arm over my face. A frown tugged at my lips when nothing happened, and I cracked open my eyes to stare into the darkness.
