“Honey, someone is waiting on us here.” I told Jessica as I climbed into the car.
“I’ll go up to the room to see who’s following us. You get behind the wheel and drive off if things get hairy.”
“Hell no, Achim,” Jessica immediately complained. “We both will go up together. I’m not leaving you here by yourself.”
“Jessica, you’re carrying our child. I can’t risk losing my family again. I need you to listen to me right now.”
“No, I’m not staying in the damn car Achim,” she cut in. “Plus, you’re just being paranoid. What would be the purpose behind ambushing you at a damn hotel?”
“We lost our tail. No one knows we’re staying here. Let’s just go to our room so you can sleep off all this bad energy, alright.”
