My entire body stiffened like a rock after Lady Eleanor's announcement. Unable to move or say anything, I sat there in my seat thinking about everything she had said.
I could still hear her voice echoing in my head repeatedly without a pause. Just when I thought that the entire situation was a lot for me to handle, the news of their wedding broke me to pieces.
I could not look at Liam at that moment because I wasn't sure how I was going to react if our eyes met.
This was a ball, and there were a lot of people present, and I wouldn't want to cause any more drama.
