Shifting into my wolf form, I embraced my primal instincts, the witch's words lingering in my mind. With every fibre of my being, I prepared to embark on a life-altering journey,a quest to find the mate destined to be mine.I continued trotting through the dense forest, my paws carrying me forward with unwavering determination. Despite the hours that had passed and the numerous valleys I had crossed, I was wholeheartedly focused on my mission to find my mate. No obstacle could deter me from achieving my goal. Every stride echoed my resolve, propelling me further into the unknown. The sun was setting by the time I reached the abandoned pack's territory, its golden rays spreading a warm glow over the surroundings. I paused, noticing the eerie silence that enveloped the once-majestic pack grounds. A chill ran down my spine as I surveyed the surroundings, the abandoned cabins, and fallen trees symbolizing the despair that now defined this place. I shook off the uneasy feeling and padded further into the forsaken territory. The abandoned cabins loomed ominously in the gathering darkness, their doors hanging off their hinges, and the windows shattered, letting the cold night breeze creep in. I sniffed the air, hoping to catch a whiff of my mate's scent, but all I could smell was the faint traces of decay and abandonment. Frustration welled up within me as I realized that my mate's scent wasn't there. I had been so certain that this abandoned pack's territory was the right place, but now doubt began to creep in.The moon was high above, casting a silvery glow on the desolated landscape. Its cold light illuminated the crumbling cabins and the withered trees, making the eerie surroundings appear even more ghostly. I paused in my tracks, and my ears pricked up as I heard a rustling sound coming from nearby. I paced around, my heart pounding with a mix of determination and uncertainty. I had come so far, driven by the witch's words and my own desperation to find my mate. As I drew closer to the clearing, the sound of rustling became more distinct, signalling that the source of the noise was running away. Frustration crept in as I realized that whatever it was had fled before I could get a better look.I hesitated for a moment, contemplating whether to give chase or not. The thought of finding any clue to my mate's whereabouts urged me onward. With a deep breath, I propelled myself into a run, racing after the mysterious figure. I sprinted through the undergrowth, my paws pounding against the damp earth. The moonlit forest flashed past me in a blur of shadows and silver light.I could faintly hear the hurried footsteps of the figure ahead of me, dodging through the foliage. I pushed myself harder, determined to catch up. Whoever it was that I was chasing had incredible speed. They darted through the trees with remarkable agility, making it challenging for me to keep up.Frustration welled up within me, but I refused to give up. I pushed myself even harder, forcing my muscles to work at their full capacity. The rustling sound became softer as the figure seemed to be pulling away. As an alpha, I had never given up on any chase before, and this situation was no exception. The thought of letting my prey escape fueled my determination. With renewed vigour, I launched myself forward, increasing my speed. Every muscle in my body ached with the strain, but I ignored the pain, focusing solely on catching up to the figure ahead.I drew closer to the figure, their form now clearly visible in the silvery moonlight. They were a blur of movement, zigzagging through the trees with impressive agility.I gritted my teeth as I pushed myself to go even faster. The distance between us was closing, but they still managed to maintain a bit of separation, making each step feel like an eternity. As I closed the distance between us, the scent of my mate became more apparent to my keen senses. It was a familiar yet tantalizing fragrance that sent a shiver down my spine. And then, I saw it,the unmistakable sight of snowy white hair. My heart leapt into my throat as realization dawned upon me. This was my mate. The one I had been searching for, the one I was destined to be with.Confusion mixed with frustration as I watched my mate continue to dash through the trees. Why was she running away? Shouldn't she be happy to finally meet her, mate? I quickened my pace, determination fueling my every move. I would catch her and find answers to my burning questions. My inner wolf's excitement mirrored my own as we continued racing after the figure. The distance between us was closing, and her snowy white hair was now clearly visible. She was dashin, running with a swift, fluid grace. My heart hammered against my chest as I closed in, my instincts urging me to claim her, to hold her, to make her mine. My inner wolf, driven by an overwhelming primal urge, seized control. Before I could react, he pounced forward and grabbed her by the hair, bringing her to a jarring halt. She yelped in surprise, her eyes wide with shock as she was pulled back by the sudden force. My wolf held her firmly in place, our breath ragged and heavy as we both surveyed each other. Her eyes were wide with fear and bewilderment, her chest heaving with panicked breaths. The tension in the air was palpable as we stood there, my wolf still holding her in place. After a few moments, I took a deep breath and willed my wolf form to recede. As the transformation took place, I slowly returned to my human form. Now, in my human form, I stood before her, trying to keep my emotions in check. She was even more breathtaking up close, her white hair framing her delicate features. But her eyes still betrayed her fear and uncertainty. Her gaze was firmly trained on the ground, avoiding my eyes at all cost. It was as if she was trying to avoid looking at me or perhaps afraid of what she would see in my gaze. In an attempt to make her look at me, I tried to gently guide her chin up, but she quickly reacted by biting down on my hand. The unexpected pain made me recoil, and she seized the opportunity to try to break free. I reacted swiftly, grabbing her and forcing her backwards until she was pressed against a tree. Holding her in place, I used my larger frame to keep her from escaping again. Being in my human form meant that I was completely naked, which I could only imagine must have been a bit shocking for her. I couldn't help but wonder what was going through her mind as her eyes darted everywhere, but to me. As I moved closer to her, my heightened senses picked up the scent of another male. It was subtle, but definitely present. The knowledge of another male's scent on her made my blood boil with possessive anger. My grip on her wrists tightened as I pressed her against the tree, pinning her in place. My voice was firm with a hint of irritation as I spoke. "What's your name," I demanded, my eyes locking onto hers. She kept her lips sealed, refusing to answer my question. Her arms strained against my grip as she continued to struggle, trying to break free. Her determination was admirable, but there was no escaping my hold. My patience was wearing thin, and the thought of her resistance only added fuel to the fire. Frustration and determination overcame me, and I ripped a piece of her clothing and used it to bind her wrists tightly. I then forced her to the ground, securing her legs as well. Her voice was soft, almost a whisper, as she blurted out, "I can't leave, I don't want to." The words were spoken so quickly, it was as if they slipped out involuntarily. Her words caught me off guard, my anger slightly abated as I digested her sudden confession. She didn't want to leave? After all the running and trying to escape, she now claimed that she didn't want to go? Her words had struck a chord within me, igniting a mix of surprise and determination. I leaned closer, my face inches from hers, and responded with conviction. "You are my mate, and I am yours. We are destined to be together. That is the law of nature, and there's no escaping it." My voice was firm, conveying the unwavering certainty that I felt in my soul. The thought of her not wanting to be with me was inconceivable, knowing that fate had decreed our union. Despite my words, she still struggled against her bindings, her body writhing and twisting in an attempt to break free. It seemed like there was still resistance within her, a reluctance to accept her destiny. Frustration and determination consumed me as she continued to resist. In a split second of impulse, I raised my hand and brought it down against her face with a quick knock. She instantly slumped, her body going limp as she was rendered unconscious With her unconscious form in my arms, I carefully lifted her up, cradling her against my chest. A sense of purpose and determination filled me as I carried her through the forest, heading back towards my pack.
