Velicia whipped her head around so fast she nearly pulled a muscle in her neck. Her eyes popped wide as she stared at Carl in total disbelief at what he said.
Others around the fire gasped. They kept looking back and forth between Carl and Kayla with their mouths open, too shocked for words.
Rodney's jaw dropped and his cigarette almost fell out of his mouth. "Whoa..." he said slowly.
