Chapter Three

Angelina loosed her partially pony tail hair and let it fall on her shoulder, her long silky blonde hair flows she freely down her waist. That is one unique thing about Angelina, she grew her hair to be so long. She loves it that way
She was trying to loose her dress and that was when everyone noticed that something is off but someone among them was happy with the occurrence but the happiness was cut short when the light suddenly went off
No body knew why the light went off but after few minutes, the light was quickly restored and Angelina has disappeared
"Where is Angelina" Evelyn ask feeling perturbed. Angelina suddenly disappeared after the light went off and on. she hopes nothing bad has happened to her daughter
"I can't seem to see her anywhere around" Mark is also worried. He started looking round the large hall but couldn't see not even the shadow of Angelina. Their anxiousness has risen to one hundred percent
"Where is your sister Amelia, we can't seem to find her" Evelyn ask the moment Amelia joined them but she looks confused and worried just like everyone around
"I am also looking for her mum but why did the light suddenly went off?" She ask no one in particular, including herself
Even their guests around are all confused and murmuring within themselves. Angelina Miller was acting strange a while ago when on stage but suddenly the light went off and when it came on, Angelina is no where to be found. what is going on?
"Mr Miller what is going on? and where is Angelina who was on the stage a while ago" one of the guest ask. he actually spoke the mind of others
"Is nothing much Mr Peter, don't worry and enjoy the party. maybe Angelina was exhausted and step out for a while" Mark replied trying to distract them from their thoughts
"I will go look outside mum, you two should check more inside" Amelia rush off her words and scuttle outside. she needs to find her sister and not trying to solve the guests confusion
Immediately she is outside, she looks round the large exquisite compound and also went to the parking lot, then she sight two figure that looks like Raymond and Angelina
She walk closer to clear her curiosity and found out it was them, Raymond is trying to help Angelina enter his black car
"Ray" Amelia called and he turn to look at her, he has already helped Angelina inside the car, she looks drunk
"Why is she so wasted like this, what happened. Our parents are dead worried inside" she reach out to Angelina and raise her head up but she is already sleeping muttering something in her sleep. She stretch up and look at Raymond
"What happened to her, she was singing a while ago before the lights went off"
"I can't comprehend what happened, I just left her for a while and when I returned, I noticed something strange before I could ask she has already went up the stage to sing which is odd because she never sings and afterwards, the light went off. I only found out that something is off with her when she was trying to take off her dress so I quickly went up the stage when the lights were off and took her away. Miraculously, the light went off and it saved a lot... I don't know but I feel that she was intoxicated because Angelina doesn't drink alcohol and can't be drunk by it" Raymond explained and Amelia reasoned it for a while before speaking up
"You are kinda right, she must have been intoxicated. Do you think of anyone that can do such or what she has taken or drink at the party because when she was with me, she didn't take anything"
Raymond changed his expression to someone in a thought and after few seconds he was able to recall something and then quickly tell Amelia about it
"Someone gave her a red wine, that is the only thing I remember she taking"
"Then that must be it, we have to locate the person" Amelia cuts in but Raymond's expression changed into disappointment
"Unfortunately, I didn't see her face probably"
Amelia was about speaking up when her phone ring, she pick it and place it on her right ear
"Yes mum, I've found Angelina, she with Raymond at the parking lot but in a bad state" she ended the call by saying 'okay'
"My parents are coming. Maybe I should take it from here, you should help me take her to my car over there" said Amelia
Raymond nods and carry Angelina out from his car, taking her to Amelia's red car. Mr and Mrs Miller met them on their way to put Angelina inside Amelia's car
"Mum, dad"
"What happened to my daughter" Evelyn looks most worried
"I think she was intoxicated ma'am" Raymond replied
"What! How? I knew something was off when she was singing"
"Did you take her out when the light was off?" Mark ask. Raymond replied yes
"Thank you my dear, I wonder who wanted to disgrace my daughter" Evelyn said bitterly
"Let me drive her home, Amelia you need to stay and take care of the party with your father. It won't be convenient if we all leave. it will arouse suspicious, just try and tell them something off about Angelina suddenly leaving the party"
"Okay mum" Amelia hand over her car keys to Evelyn while they watch her get into the car and drove off with Angelina
Raymond wanted to excuse himself and leave since there is no reason to stay behind but Mark persuaded him to stay a little bit longer. When they entered the party hall, someone call on Mark and he join him
Amelia was about leaving but Raymond called her back. "Can we talk" he said

At Millers residence...
Evelyn has already drive Angelina home and with the help of the maids they take her upstairs to her room
She soak a white towel in a bowl of warm water as she uses it to wipe her forehead and other parts of her exposed body
Thinking in retrospect, Evelyn can't tell of anyone that would want to intoxicate her daughter. That person probably want to ruin her daughters reputation if she ended up acting recklessly during the intoxicated state which she nearly did but luckily the lights went off and Raymond saved her. Raymond is such a good man, that's why he is the best suitor for their daughter
The person that intoxicated her daughter is definitely someone jealous of her acheivement and also her position at the company, it must be one of the staff in M&R. Whoever it, she needs to find out and make that person pay
When she was about taking off Angelina's dress to help her wear another one, something fell off her body. Evelyn slowly pick it up and what her mouth did was wide in astonishment the moment she recognized what she has picked
She stare unbelievably at the substance in her hand, she can't believe this ...is not possible. Evelyn watched this girl grow and the past twenty two years of Angelina's life she only spent three years away from Evelyn, so she wouldn't end up like this in just that three years. she has been in Evelyn's care for the past eight years after being separated from Evelyn for three years
Evelyn thought of how she can believe this as a mother, no... She can't believe that her daughter can possibly hide drug in her dress and she can't believe either that her daughter could drug herself. She knows who Angelina is and trust that she is never like that
