Chapter Four

The next day Angelina woke up with a throbbing headache. She can't remember anything from the time she drank a red wine given to her by some sort of waiter at the party, she can't even remember the face of the waiter
"You are awake" she heard Amelia's voice. She try sitting up but Amelia rush to help her
"My head hurts a lot, what happened to me?" She ask feeling a bit weak
Amelia hesitated for a while before speaking up. "Someone intoxicated you and nearly ruined your reputation at the party but Raymond was quick to save you"
"What!" Angelina exclaimed, shocked. She wonders how bad she has acted but who intoxicated her
Amelia went ahead to tell her everything in details. Angelina can't believe that she sang a song and nearly stack herself naked in the public. Gosh! she would have disgraced herself and also ruin her reputation if not for Raymond but who has she offended, that wants to ruin her reputation
"Don't worry it wasn't so bad, I told you that Raymond saved you before anyone could notice anything. We handled everyone after mum took you home. I made some soup for you, it will help your headache release a bit" Amelia rush off her words to make her sister feel better
She tried feeding Angelina but Angelina stopped her, she frowned a bit and said "I will feed you, don't try to stop me because you will do the same if you are in my shoes" Angelina smile and open her mouth as an obedient girl to allow Amelia feed her
"Tell me, do you remember the face of the lady that served you wine at the party" Amelia ask as she feeds her
Her question made Angelina to remember that drink, that was the only drink she took at that party but the problem is that she can't remember the face of the lady but is sure the lady has a brown skin
She shock her head "I don't remember her face but I do know that she is a brown skin woman"
"I wonder how we are going to find that woman if no one remembers her face"
"But why would the waitress intoxicate me?" Angelina is so confused. Who would want to do such thing to her
Just then Mark and Evelyn walk in. Evelyn was the one who took care of her all night and Amelia took over this morning
Both girls greeted their parents and they replied warmly
"How are you feeling my dear" Mark ask in concern
"Am feeling good Dad" Angelina replied. Evelyn couldn't say anything, what she saw last night is still disturbing her but she couldn't get herself to tell anyone because she trust her daughter. She couldn't even tell it to Mark because she doesn't want him to feel this way that she is feeling right now
She only smile at her daughter and touch her hair so gently. Even if someone manged to intoxicate her, could the person also be able to put a drug inside her dress without her awareness
She don't think that is possible but she hopes that is the case because she won't be able to handle it if Angelina breaks her trust. She will definitely have to look into this matter and she will start by checking the CCTV footage. Until she comes to a conclusion, she won't tell anyone about this
"Don't worry dear, I will find out who did this to you and I will make that person pay severally" Mark feels so furious thinking of what could have happened to his daughter if Raymond didn't step in
Evelyn chip in immediately "don't worry about that Mark, I will handle it. I will check the CCTV footage myself" Evelyn wants to be the first one to find out the truth. If the truth turns out that Angelina has started taken drugs, she will know how to handle the matter amicably
That day Amelia stayed with her sister Angelina. The next two days, they reported for the first time at work and everyone was happy to see them and work with them, fortunately, the event of what happened that night at the party didn't escalate... they forget it as if nothing happened
Both girls got their office and they were so happy to start working officially for the first time. They both started working together as a team and Angelina was happy that Amelia is improving a lot, she is no more being so lazy
Together they make their team efficient and was helping in the growth of the company with the so much essential intellectual they acquired from college. Their parent are so proud of them
Evelyn had been working on her restaurant, M&R restaurant. She did all she could, even neglecting her duties to find the culprit and get to the bottom of all these
It looks like the person that drugged Angelina was so cleaver to have clear all the footage and she couldn't get any crucial evidence or find out who the person is
After unfruitful efforts, Mark told her to give up.... one day an arising situation will make them catch the culprit. But Mark did not know that Evelyn is so adamant in finding the culprit because she wants to clear her doubt about her daughter.
Her strange behavior of always being absent minded because she is thinking of a way to find the culprit made Amelia to ask one day if anything was the matter but she lied
Seeing that someone might find out the truth through her behavior she decided to believe and trust in her daughter. It is definitely someone that wanted to implicate her daughter, her daughter can never take drugs willingly and since she couldn't find the culprit, she gave up as Mark said
After a successful presentation that week, Angelina and her team together with Amelia are preparing for another important presentation that will help a lot in the progress of their company
They both stayed up day and night for the preparation and Evelyn would always make warm milk for Amelia and coffee for Angelina according to their favourite. But sometimes during the day, Amelia will disappear and claims she has an important work to take care of... Angelina just let her be, that's Amelia for you
As the marketing team, they work so hard for this project with the help of the project team and to present the best quality to their investors. They have made so much research in the progress of this project together with the research team
A day before their presentation, they held a meeting with their team members concerning a very clean job they will do tommorow
"I hope everyone understands their work, I don't want things to get messed up" Angelina said in a rather serious tone. Once everything is set, she will be the one to do the presentation to avoid much errors
This is the work of the project team but she don't mind taking it upon herself to make sure everything went well, because this deal is a big one that they can't afford to loose. So what she did was to gather all the team together and they all worked together
"Yes ma'am" everyone present chorused. After that Angelina dismissed them and rested her head on her seat
"You worked so well this past few days. You really need a rest sis" Amelia said and pass a bottle of water to her
Angelina collects it "you too, we all, including the team members worked hard and we hope to hit the jackpot"
"I hope so sis" Amelia chimp in but notice the sudden change of mood on Angelina's face, she is looking at her phone
"Are you waiting for someone's call"
Angelina looks up at her with sad face "Raymond hasn't call for over a week now and he wouldn't pick my calls either"
"Maybe he is probably busy, don't get worked up by this" Amelia tries to cheer her up "come on let's go grab some lunch, I will treat you today"
She drag Angelina up as they both chuckle and take the elevator to the down floor where the eatery is located
"you sang so well the order day, I never told you that because of the situation at that moment" Amelia said with a smile when they are still inside the elevator
"Really? I never knew I can sing. thank you so much Amelia, for being with me at that time"
"come on Lina, you are my sister and my best friend. you would have done more if you are in my shoes" they both chuckle
When they arrived the down floor and just as they were trying to enter inside the eatery which is a little bit closer to the company's grand entrance, Angelina heard her name being called by that familiar voice
She quickly turn and run towards him, without caring about people around, she hugged him. She misses him a lot and so happy he is hear. Angelina is not crazy about anything but she is crazy about her love for Raymond, she can't fight for anything but she is ever ready to fight for their love
Raymond hug her back so lovingly, he also misses her. He peck her cheeks and that was when he noticed Amelia's presence because she cleared her throat
"You love birds totally forgot that am still here" she smile and the other two chuckle
"Where have you been Ray, you never called for a week" Angelina pout her lips, looking so cute as a baby. Raymond couldn't help but smile
"Am sorry baby, I went for a business trip, it was so urgent and sudden. Sorry, I didn't tell you about it"
"Is okay, even I was busy this past few days. I have a very big presentation together with Amelia and my team tommorow" Angelina is ever ready to understand Raymond and forgive him easily
"I wish you both success" he smile at Angelina and then look at Amelia whom he also gave a bright smile
