Chapter Twenty-Four.
“What, this is the last one?” Julias exclaimed before he turned and glanced at Lucias.
“You need to bid,” he whispered, as the golden dragon let out a long sigh, knowing he now had little choice.
The auction house fell into silence when a girl stepped onto the stage, covered completely in a golden cloak. She walked with confidence but did not make any attempt to entice the crowd as the girl with the huge derriere had done. The golden hood of the cloak covered her face down to her lips, which, upon a closer look, were the exact shade of rose Lucias desired.
Something stirred within Lucias, his dragon side suddenly surging forward, excited at the thought of what was hidden underneath the cloak.
“Let’s begin this with the offer of silver,” the auctioneer announ
