Mates?

A Royal What Now?

Maybe someone put something into my drink because I heard a Royal and I heard Vampire. Vampires don't exist in the real world right, only in the movies. 

Nik looks at me with a smirk on his face.

"What's so funny" I said.

"As a vampire I can read your mind so, yes you heard right I'm a royal vampire and also your mate" Nik said.

My mouth just falls open like I can't believe anything this man says. All I can think is has my whole life been a lie and nothing is true. 

"How can I believe your vampire and a royal at that and how is there a monarch in the world of vampires." I can't believe I just said that making him believe that I believe that he is saying any of this. I look into his eyes and just remember that he can read my mind.

"I can show better than I can tell you, look." Nik said while opening his mouth and fangs literal fangs are growing longer than normal teeth should. 

"Okay, okay, I believe your a vampire but why did you say I was your mate I don't even know you." I tell him. 

Nik tilts his head to the sky thinking about something I'm not too sure of. "I have waited along time to meet you that I wasn't completely sure I even had a mate. A mate is your other half, the one special person made completely for you and will send the rest of your life with and guess what there is no death do us part because we live forever." Nik informs me of this new revelations. 

"But I'm human not a vampire how can we be mates, don't you have to be of the same species to be mates."

Nik laughs a little, "No you don't have to be the same species to mates I even know a witch and a vampire mate. But back to what you said before, your not human I can tell through your scent that your not human but I'm not completely sure what you are. So what are you if you don't mind my bluntness."

I just gape at him like what now. "I am human wait does this have something to do with my eyes changing today and scared the crap at me before I came tonight, was that you." I said after staring at Nik for answers I'm confused about my life since I woke up this morning. 

Nik looked at me thoughtful before saying, "If this is the first time your eyes changed then you are in transition of becoming what you've always were meant to be. I'm not sure what your species is because your scent is off like your more than one." Nik was thinking more and I felt like we weren't even in this loud club because all I can hear is my own heart beat. 

"Do you trust me enough, deep down inside you know that feeling that you can because I am indeed your soulmate. I want to take you to a friend of mine who is a seer that will be able to tell us more." Nik said while holding my hand closely looking deep into my eyes.

"I feel that I can trust you but I'm here with my bestfriend to celebrate my 21st birthday, I can't just leave her here alone. She has to come with me no matter what, promise me." I told Nik with seriousness. 

Nik looked at me and said "Okay lets get your friend and get going because its not a close trip to get to the seer."

I went over the whole club and couldn't find my bestie anywhere that I started to freak out. I looked over at Nik and said "I can't find her anywhere I'm getting nervous."

Nik looked like he was talking to someone without any mobile device and wasn't moving. He looked over at me and said, "My security said the girl that came with you left out the back with someone she was arguing with but seemed that she knew him because they heard her say his name."

The only person I could think of was her boyfriend, but why would he be here. "Nik lets go find her I'm not sure why her boyfriend would be here but I don't like him and don't trust him." He leads me into the back and out the door and what we see has my eyesight turning to slits. I see his hand go up getting ready to hit her but in no less than one second Nik moves at lighting speed and has that bastard up against a wall. I run over to Ali and ask her if she is okay.

Ali looks at me to answer when she gasps, "Kenz what happened to your eyes."
