Yo, It's Sam, and I'm as excited as can be
Because, today is the day, I find a new place for me
Right now, I live in a tree, and it's not the best
The birds are so noisy I can't get rest
I will look high and low, for something new
I am just your average lizard, how much can I do
I'm on my way to meet a tom cat over a nice bungalow
it seems like a decent place with room to grow
Hopefully, I can get it for a deal
Then later, take him out for a meal
The place is perfect, for a bachelor like me
The price was only one fifty
How could I refuse a deal like that
And he seems like a trustworthy cat
I signed the deed with a smile on my face
I held the key to my new place
The changes are coming so fast
It's time to leave the tree in the past
I am moving on to better places
So follow me into new spaces
We will chat soon, after I move in
It's time for my tale to begin

So I got moved into my new pad
it's right off the lake
Living here is not so bad
But it's so lonely when I wake
So, I'm thinking, about putting myself on the market
I'm tired of being solo
But finding a girl these days ain't spit
They all be rocking that yolo
My cousin Jim, keeps trying to play matchmaker
He says, your only a young lizard once
But I haven't found the right taker
And I've been through a bunch
I thought about logging on to, "Lizard's Only"
But I'm afraid of what I'll find
Damn, this lizard's, tired of being lonely
But these girls are out of there minds
I decided to forget about my troubles at the bar
So I drove out to the Lilly Pad
I didn't have to travel far
Before I started to feel sad
I ordered another shot
Lost in my troubled brain
It hit my stomach like boiling rot
I must be going insane
I ran out of the bar to hail a taxi
It was pouring down cold, white rain
A girl ran out in front of me
Her idea must have been the same
She said, oh, I'm sorry, you take this one
I can definitely wait
I said ,sharing one could be fun
Then neither one of us will be late
The air smelled of stale perfume
The cab was nice and warm
There was plenty of room
To contain this quiet storm
She said her name was Daisy
Like the wildflower
She was wide open and free
Like a June spring shower
I pulled up to my spot and whispered goodbye
She said, hey, can I call u sometime
I would love to see you again
My heart, jumped out of this rhyme
I just looked at her and grinned
Fate got delivered by a taxi
On a rainy night in June
This must be destiny
I guess we'll find out soon

The Abandoned City
Prompt: The Dust Settles In The Cracks!
He slowly walks down the desolate street
Holding his old teddy bear
Wrapped up in his favorite blue sheet
That's honestly worse for wear
He shuffles along barefoot
So confused and alone
The ground is covered in gray soot
The silence is thick like stone
Silently he begins to cry
Because he doesn't know what else to do
Everyone left without saying goodbye
Just disappeared out of the blue
He stares at the empty chaos
As he creeps down the littered street
He feels the sudden loss
As the cold seeps into his feet
He looks around with wild eyes
At the empty forgotten buildings
He whimpers and cries
Looking for his siblings
His hair is sweaty and wild
Because he just woke up
Just a 6-year-old child
Still clutching his sippy cup
He timidly says hello
Into the quiet afternoon air
The sky is a fading yellow
He brushes back his sticky hair
Where is everyone
The town is totally empty
All the people are gone
Except for me
The smell of smoke hits his nose
As he zig-zags around an empty truck
The doubt grows
His brain feels stuck
Is anyone here
He yells into the gloom
He freely lets go of every tear
In this empty afternoon
His child like brain doesn't understand
The serious situation he's in
He stares at his little hand
And begins to wander again
He slowly walks to his house
And decides to just wait
It was as silent as a mouse
An so was his fate

She endures the flames
The lightning will take her higher
The scorching heat she tames
She throws hatred into the water
As she douces out the embers
But the fire just burns hotter
Her pain it remembers
She knows where she is going
The flames know where she's been
This pile of ashes is growing
And she will ride it to the end
