"A gentle light nudged the room awake",ploy woke up first and finds davika sleeping peacefully beside her,hair tousled,breaths slow and steady. Without any warning,she blinked awake, meeting ploy's eyes and a sleepy smile passed between them:quiet,warm and perfect.

Good morning [she tried to sit but her head was too weak from alcohol's affect, although she was supper drunk she remembered every moment of them.

Hey don't push yourself,you can relax here,staffs won't come here[ploy smiles]

No….no I'm okay,I should go to investigate the science..her tone was serious

Ummm..okay then go wash your face and do whatever you want [her voice was annoyed]

Davika didn't care and just smiled,after sometime she gets ready to go

Okay I'm going,"I'm truly grateful for your yesterday's service" we will meet soon[ a tender smile spread across her face]

Ploy instantly became happy

Davika moved down, disappearing from her sight.

Then,her phone rang abruptly,a voice called out softly

Good morning..how was your work?

Good morning [she tried to greet her warmly but she was clearly starting to hate her]

Nothing much,it was a long day and I also have some pending work to do now

Ohh then you must be so tried, please quickly finish your work and come home "I'm waiting" she chuckles

Ploy hung ups without saying anything and gets busy with her work.

Meanwhile,davika had already arrived at the crime scene and starting to investigate deeper than before:the victim's house was wrapped in a silence,there the room reeked of blood,which many officer couldn't stand and started to throw up but Davika moved forward.The living room was a mess, his clothes were all torn apart,there was broken piece of furniture which had the blood of his, pieces of shattered glass were all over the floor,davika scanned her surrounding and found his phone in the corner of the room,she informed it to her other friends…

She crouched near the motionless body, tracing outline of the visible shoeprint. She also notice that,there was no sign of force entry,she noted all the details :her jaw tighted,seeing the cruelty of the murderer. In her career,she had handled thousands of this type of cases but..but this one felt like a little too personal. She walked out with her team,gloves stained,heart heavy. The world outside felt too quiet-too normal for what they'd just seen. Everyone was silent but Davika already knew that it was all done by ava,she hadn't seen any pattern but she was sure…

"Another family broken because of her", she murmured

Every head turned toward her,one officer named ray paused,eyes narrowing as he asked

"What did you just say"

I think the murderer is the ava herself or it is somehow related to her

"What…it can't be",it can't be pimchanok added

Why?

Ava doesn't have any sympathy for anyone and look here,he was tortured to death,his head was twisted,arms broken,even his ears were ripped out..she sighed "this poor soul suffered so much at his last moment,I can't imagine what went through his mind when he was being tortured..

Everyone went silent as the truth sank in.

I'm being worried about ploy,she is living with the demon itself,"if something will happen then it'll be our fault".[pimchanok added,her voice serious than before]

Other quickly intrupted don't worry, we'll do our best to protect her.

Yeah we'll protect her[davika spoke her voice tight]

Let's go guys, it's already evening, we've already sealed the crime scene,we should come tomorrow with other officers.

Everyone aggred with her and went to their destinies.

Meanwhile ploy was already at her home with ava.

You seems so tired and sleepy ploy,you haven't sleeped yesterday,have you?

Yeah..I didn't get enough sleep last night,I was too busy with work and today was also very tough [her voice was tired]

Ava went to her side and started to message her shoulders

At first ploy was tensed by her actions,then later she slowly relaxed under her soft touch

Ava noticed that ploy was enjoying her warmth,so she continued,her heart racing as she continues. After a while ploy stopped her..

"Feeling better now"? [Ava questions]

Umhmm I'm relaxed but "why's your heart beating faster than my shoulder relaxing ",[she said with grin]

Ava smiled,hmm that's not my fault young lady

Ohh it is,you were massaging me nonstop

They both laughed.. the room feels smaller,cozier where ploy seems to understand that even though,ava is danger to others ,she won't harm her.

[22:00pm] Davika's condo

I have to do something…I should talk to my seniors about this matter, I'm pretty sure they would help me to get through this and then everything will be sorted,"she said under her breath"

Ohh….ploy should I call her to meet my seniors together…..she hesitated to call her, questioning her own decision,but ended up calling her to meet her at that building.

[Ploy's POV]

Ploy was playing with her phone as usual,ava was right beside her reading book,then out of nowhere her phone rang,ploy grabbed it and glanced at ava

Ohh.. it's my staff..I think it is urgent.. ava didn't said anything

Ploy went to her terrace,and answerd

Hey are you alright? [ A worried voice came]

Yes I'm good, what's the matter?

Ouu nothing I was just worried about you and also..[davika hesitated]

She hung up the phone and went inside..

"What's the matter lady" ava asked

Nothing,she called me to inform about tomorrow's meeting [she made up lie]

I thought,I could finally spend time with you but God has another plan,ava laughed…

Ploy smiles,yeah yeah I'm going to sleep then goodnight

Ploy stares at her for a moment and turn another side to sleep

Next day, ploy woke up earlier than usual,she slowly opened her eyes and turn up her mobile

Ohh wow.. it's only 6, "I've got a plenty of time to impress her" she excitedly moved toward her dressing room,she stood in front of her wardrobe,her fingers hovered over hangers, lingering in each dress, finally her gaze settled on deep red dress tucked at the back: a small mischievieous smile tugged at her lips

She adjusted her dress, checking the mirror to make sure every detail is perfect

She went inside the building

[Click-clack]

"Her heels clicked sharply against the marble floor: she spots davika right away"there she is,she whispered to herself "

She happily steeped forward,but in mid way she was puzzled..

She thought that it was going to be two of them but there was pimchanok and other person also that she didn't recognized.

Gathering her courage she stepped closer.

Pimchanok eyes lit up with excitement

Hey,long time no see… how are you ?

Yeah..ploy smiled, I'm good I didn't knew that you would be here also

Davika also introduced her to the other person:

He is our senior officer who is expert and experienced in police department

Ploy greeted him

Everyone chats for a little bit and went silent but pimchanok breaks it…

Ahhhmmm [clearing her throat]

Hey you two seems Pretty fun and I heard that ploy also admire you davika

"YOU SHOULD GET MARRIED"

Ploy chocked on water instantly after her words

What! What type of joke is this…

I'm being serious ploy… the only way to take down Ava's empire is by you two getting married [she said ,her voice was little higher than before]

But…I don't wanna get married, I'll help you but not by getting married [she blurted everything out in one breath]

Yes ploy is right,why get married,is there any other way?[davika defended her]

I know ,the senior sighed but there is no other way.. I've talked with other officers also and they all said the same thing .. it'll be safe for both of you

The crowd went silent "we are going now,you two should figure out what's best for yourself"

The restaurant buzzed with quiet chatter and clinking cluttery,but at their table ,the air had gone still, davika leaned back in her seat,while ploy kept her eyes fixed on the untouched food items.

Some moment ago,there were other two: whispering, arguing,pushing this idea across the table.

"If you two want to catch her and to protect other people,you two should get married since ploy have also admired you and you also don't have any one right now.it is the only way…you two have to make it official.

Then they'd left them..

Now there was nothing than silence

Suddenly ploy's phone buzzed,it was her dad..

She picked up the call

Hello dad

Ploy,how are you my child

I'm good dad,"how are you"

I'm also good

Is everything alright dad?

Yeah…yeah

No.. wait! [He said quickly] I've got something to tell you

Yeah..I.. he hesitated

Ploy glance at davika..and broke the silence

"They can't be serious…marriage?"

Davika didn't answer right away,she was staring out the window,jaw tense watching headlights blur through the glass."it's risky",she said at last but it might be the only way to keep you safe…

Ploy met her eyes then searched for a trace of hesitation but there wasn't any..

"So..we fake a marriage",ploy murmured

Davika's lips curved faintly,"no we make it real" and after the mission we can get divorce..

Umm.. pimchanok already told my father about everything

Wait what, when? [Davika intrupted her]

This morning..she sighed

And what now? What did he say

He was okay with it and urge me to get married to you

Hearing her words davika just glanced at her…

Again there was a silence between them as the laughter from another table drifted over.ploy sighed softly

"You really think this will work?"

Davika's smile was faint,tried but real

"I don't know"

But I'll make sure that you're safe,ploy nodded her eyes softened

'then I guess I have to trust you-my soon to be hubby"[ she said playfully]

Davika froze for a second,then laughed quietly under her breath," don't start already "

Hahahah..

But the warmth in her voice lingered even after their laughter faded, after paying,they walked out together.

Both knowing that this marriage might save hundreds of life's or destroy them both.
