I woke up on a Monday morning and heard voices down by the gates. No one expect Matteo’s mother came to visit, and she never came to visit on a Monday. I walked up to the gate and saw Matteo hugging someone.
“This must be the queen the castle.”
“Yes brother, this is my beautiful wife Sophia.”
“Oh, you must be Luca, I’ve heard so much about you, you’re all Matteo talks about”
“Sofia nice to meet you, I apologize for missing the wedding, and for not coming to visit both of you sooner” his eye caught mine as he kissed my hand. I couldn’t overlook how handsome he was.
“Oh, come on Luca, you couldn’t leave the military even if you tired, Sophia honey, Luca is a military general”
“Yes Matteo, you’ve told me a million times” I teased.
“Matteo is my biggest fan” Luca laughed.
“Come, come let’s go inside.” Matteo said leading us into the mansion
As Matteo and Luca spoke, I couldn’t help but watch Luca’s lips. I had to keep reminding myself that my husband was there.
“Honey, since I will be traveling more often, Luca has agreed to be your body guard.”
“Bodyguard? Really, why would I need a bodyguard?”
“Just trust me honey, Luca will protect you. I have to get going, I’ll see both of you tonight”
When Matteo left, I tried not to look nervous in front of Luca.
Luca took being my bodyguard way too seriously.
" I still don't understand why Matteo thinks I need a bodyguard”.
" He just wants to make sure you're extra protected."
" Extra protected at home? " I laughed.
"Well, mostly when you go out."
" I don't go anywhere, at least not anymore.”
"So, you're hiding your beauty from the rest of the world huh?”
“Tell your brother that” I laughed.
“Let's go for a walk.” Luca suggested
And so it began , I looked forward to our walks every afternoon. I felt whole again; to have someone to talk to and laugh with.
" Before you were Mrs. Lombardi, who were you"
" I was the CEO of Lacasa International. "
"Wow, a CEO? Do you miss it”?
" Every single day” I replied.
“So why aren't you doing it?”
"Ask your brother, he believes that a traditional wife should stay home cook, clean and have babies. And I completely disagree.”
“Let me speak to Matteo, so he can lighten up a bit. Maybe he could give you a position at the company.”
“And have my husband be my boss, oh no I rather just stay home” I laughed.
“You have a beautiful smile Sophia” Luca said leaning in. I wanted to kiss him, but I hesitated.
“What are your plans for today?”
“After our walk, nothing”
“It’s a beautiful sunny day, a perfect day for the beach”
“I don’t think Matteo would allow me to go to the beach.”
“He doesn’t have to know.”
I welcomed the sun as it beamed in my face. It felt so good to be out and free. Luca took me to a private beach, and it was just the two of us. I hugged the waves of the water as it danced around me. Luca got in the water and surrounded me.

I turned around to face him, and he pulled me in close, I leaned into him and kissed him. He grabbed my face and kissed me back. For once in a long time, I felt wanted. He took off my underwear, picked me up, and inserted himself inside of me. I held on to him as the waves crashed into us. I thought the feelings of guilt would plague my mind, but there was only pleasure.
When we got back to the mansion, I wanted more.
“I love my brother Sophia, and I know what I did was not honorable, but your beauty is so consuming, I couldn’t help myself “ Luca explained
I placed my finger on his lip and told him to stop talking, I took off my dress , took his hand and led him to the bed. As I laid there, he placed kisses all over my body. I got up and bent over, he kissed my buttocks and inserted himself inside of me. As he thrusted inside me from behind, I imagined Matteo or one of the maids walking in on us but I didn’t care. I felt free, and for once in a long time I felt like myself again.
When Matteo came home that evening, he wanted me and Luca to join him and his mother, Linda for dinner. I was worried that he’ll see the way me and Luca would look at each other. I decided to sit far away from Luca, to stop myself from touching, but Luca got up from his seat and came to sit right next to me.
“So, Luca, when are you going back to the military” Matteo’s mother asked
“I’ve actually decided to retire.”
“And do what, follow Sophia around.”
“Mom!” Matteo interrupted.
“What?, I’m just asking him a simple question”
“It’s alright Matteo, it is an honor to be the one Matteo chose to protect his wife.” Luca replied.
“And how’s that mother of yours, I heard she stole another woman’s husband again.”
“Mom! show him some respect, he’s, my brother!” Matteo yelled.
“Half-brother!” Linda snapped back.
As Matteo and his mother went back and forth with each other. Luca placed his hand on my thigh and moved them up until his fingers were underneath my underwear.
He moved in close to my ear, and whispered “I want to taste you”, he took out his finger and put it in his mouth. I was shocked, Matteo and his mother were sitting across from us, yet they didn’t notice a thing, they were too busy yelling at each other. I knew this affair between me and Luca was dangerous but I was loving every second of it.
