Jason tried to swallow his wrath and asked in a slow voice.
"Well, Mr. President, someone just gave these flowers to Miss Marley this morning. There are ninety-nine roses! Miss Marley likes these flowers very much, but I think it is inappropriate to put them in the workplace, so I advise her to throw it away. However, Miss Marley is angry with me."
Nancy replied before Linda.
What she said was the exact opposite of the truth. Her insincere face was hidden beneath her black-framed glasses, which made it impossible to tell if she was lying or not.
