"Tati!" Albert called me out in the crowd for the second time. This guy is really persistent, I already told him that I am married.
Well, I was. But it's not something to be sad about, right?
"What is it again, Albert? I told you, I'm married!" I repeated, wanting him to disappear already. I'm here to have fun! I have no time for guys like him. Well, he's not that bad. His tall build and a clean cut hair, he was a fine looking mestizo. If I was what I am before, I would've danced with him.
"It's Asher, he's here" he looked confused as I am when he broke the news. My breath hitched as I heard the name. Why is he here?
"Where?" I replied, almost stuttering. I'm not ready to face him yet. He can't know that I was the only one miserable while he was with his new girl. I'm not going to let him see me like this. I'm not the old Tati he knew.
"I have to go" I replied with a stoic face. Even with my hammering chest, I grabbed my bag and downed my last shot.
"But it's too early" Albert tailed me once again. When will he stop pestering me, really?
"Where do you think you're going?" that baritone voice. I knew who own that, but I refuse to look at him. I can feel his stare from here, but I don't want to look because if I looked at him, I'll be a slave of his words. That I will end up following whatever he wants.
And I don't want that. I want to be as far as possible. I used to love his scent, but now I'm suffocated. I want to leave this place so bad.
"Home" I replied, not paying attention at my booming heart and my shaky hands.
And without looking at him, I went out the bar.
I won't be a fool of your love again, Asher Troy. Never again.
