Chapter 6

I waited for them outside the school while calming myself. He asked me to call him Troy, should I call him Troy? I don't know. When I saw them getting near, I could hear Asher asking Audri if he's alright, he sure looked like a protective brother to me. What will happen if a boy broke her heart? It'll be a disaster, for sure.

"Why did you walked so fast?" Audri asked with her usual confused face. I turned to look at her brother next and he had that annoying smile again. 

"Your brother is annoying, I can't stand getting near him for too long." you sighed while looking away. 

"Wow, that's different" Audri giggled and he gave his brother a look. 

"I know, right?" he replied and I don't know what the hell they are talking about. Probably a twin telepathy, I don't know and I don't really care. Why am I even here? I told myself I'll review first and attend the party. 

"Let's go? I have to finish fast because I have to go somewhere." 

"Where?" Asher asked but before I could answer, Audri answered a phone call from their driver and she walked away somewhere to reach him.

"I said, where Tati?" he asked again, moving closer to me. There he goes with my nickname again. 

"A p-party." I struggled to say, moving my face away with a blush. Why does he have to go that near? It's making me nervous. 

"A party, huh? With all your boys?" he asked while looking at me with his annoying grin. 

"I don't have any boys, shut up" I rolled my eyes again.

"Then who was the guy who asked for your number earlier this morning?" he seriously asked, the grin was already wiped off his face. I don't know if I see anger or jealousy on his eyes or maybe I'm just assuming things. I wiped the thought away as I cleared my throat. 

"You saw that? I thought you're late?" I asked while changing my gaze to look for Aubri, where is she anyway?

"I did something first before going to the class" he winked.

"And what is that?" I asked again but he ignored my question. Not long after, Audri arrived and she was already inside their car. Maybe it's just me because when I turned to look at her brother, he didn't notice. 

"Why is your face red, Audri?" I whispered as soon as I entered the car. Asher sat on the front and the both of us are at the back so I made sure Asher won't hear. 

"L-leandro spoke to me before I got here" she said silently and she blushed again. I knew that she likes him. The moment I saw her face after I spoke to Leandro, I'm already sure that he got her interest. What did she like about him? His innocent looking face? I'm not exactly sure.

I was lost in my thoughts when Audri spoke again, "I-i'm sorry! I didn't mean to like him, he likes you for sure and please don't unfriend me." she said while looking at me with pleading eyes. 

"Nah, he's not my type" I shrugged and sat properly. That's why I gave him random numbers instead of my number earlier. I also don't date people who are too innocent. I'll end up hurting them. Does that mean I like mean boys? Probably not, I am friends with a lot of fuckboy jocks in our school and a lot of them tried to get on me but only a few succeeded. 

"What's your type, Tati?" she asks while shifting on her seat.

A type. I don't really have one if I'm being honest, when I turned to look Asher, he was suddenly sitting attentively, I almost bursted out laughing. He looks like a constipated kid, why is he sitting like that?

"I don't have a type" I smiled at her, but in reality, I think I have one. He can't know that though.

We arrived at their place not long after, as I said before, it was hella big. I don't even know where to start looking when we arrived at their main door. It was so big! Everything looked modern inside the house, on the center, you can see a big family picture consisting the twins, their older brother and the married Monteverdes. Before I could even react, their mother, Aunt Veria greeted us with a big smile. 

"Troy? You're home early? Where's Everliane?" she asked, looking like she doesn't like the name or the person that much. When I turned to look at him, he was also looking at me like he did something and he wanted to explain. 

Is that his girlfriend? Base on the looks he gave me, that's probably his girl. I don't even know why he had to look at me like that, it's not like he owes me something or it's not like I like him. Right?

"Hi, Aunt Veria! We're going to review for our Chem quiz this Wednesday" I smiled when went on my way to give me a hug. 

"Alright, I'll bring the snacks on the library. Feel free to use anything" she smiled and Audri went first after giving her mother a kiss so I followed her.

"Tati" he called me and I looked at me. 

"It's not what you think it is. Everliane is--" 

"I don't really care who you date and we have to finish fast because I have to be somewhere." I spoke and left him there. I don't like this throbbing feeling on my heart. It's not that I like him. 

We reviewed quietly on the next hour, we would only talk to each other when I have something to ask about the topic. Kelvin kept texting me and asking me where I was but it's still early so I ignored him. He still wants to get back with me, though I told him that I only see him as a friend.

I placed my things on my bag after reading the last term on my paper. I think what I learned is already enough, after all, it's not that hard when Asher explained it to me. It was easier and faster than what Ms. Smith has told us. 

"I think I have to go, I have to be somewhere in two hours. I reviewed all the terms and I think I'll be fine." I smiled at the both of them while standing up. 

"Let me drive you home" Asher stood up. That's when I remembered that I left my car at school, why the hell?

"You should, Troy." Audri said while standing up too. 

"Tell your mom I said hi!" Aunt Veria said after I thanked her. I went out of the house after while Asher was on my back.

The whole car ride was quiet, I don't have anything to talk about while he kept looking at me every minute of the ride. 

"Just say something if you want to." I rolled my eyes when I caught him glancing again. 

"Will there be a lot of boys in there?" he asked, now giving me his full attention.

"Eyes on the road, Asher!" I half-yelled when I saw him. 

"Of course they are guys there, it's a public party." I boredly replied while texting our driver to pick my car up at school. 

"Don't go" he said while pulling up in front of our house. 

"And why would I follow you?" I replied, challenging him. 

He went close, too close that his nose is touching mine already. 

"What are you doing, Asher..." I whispered while looking at his eyes. 

"Don't go, Tati." he said again.

And I don't know, it seems like I would follow everything that he wants at this point.
