Chapter 4

We went inside our classroom after that, since Audri is a transferee, she was called to introduce herself. I can hear some girls murmur about her and it kinda pisses me off. Can't they just leave her alone? 

"H-hello, I'm Audri" she shortly introduced herself while looking down. She probably heard the girls from the back, I rolled my eyes in annoyance. 

"And your surname? Tell me more, Ms. Audri". the teacher encouraged her. 

She shyly looked up and spoke again, "Monteverde, Audri Monteverde, I hope we can be friends." she shyly said and went back on her seat next to me. 

The girls suddenly turned quiet when they heard her name. It became more quiet when they saw someone enter the door. 

"Sorry I'm late, my sister forgot to wake me up" he smiled while looking at Audri who looked red from the embarrassment. When they saw who he is, girls gasped. 

"Mind if you introduce yourself?" the teacher interrupted and everyone turned quiet again, looking too focused on the man who just arrived. Even the boys are intrigued on who he is too.

"Asher Monteverde, Audri's twin. Mess with her, you mess with me." he said while looking at the girls on the back. When I turned to look at them, they shyly looked away. 

Serves them right. I'm glad that he's not a bad brother after all. I still don't like him though. Over my dead gorgeous body!

"Hey, little girl, mind if I take this seat?" he playfully asked and I almost puked, I tell you. 

"I will mind, now get lost and find a new seat" I said in annoyance, can this guy get more irritating? 

The tingling feeling was there again, but I tried my best to ignore it as much as I could. Let's not mind that, shall we? 

He chuckled but sat on my left side, still. Now Audri is in my right and he's in my left. Why am I here? 

The teacher started discussing after that, I tried my best to ignore this asshole beside me but holy cow, he's a lot of work! He keeps asking me things and now I don't know what our lesson is about.

"Can you shut up? I'm trying to focus here" I whisper-shouted when I turned to look at him.

"I'm just trying to get to know you more" and he did that smile again. That damned smile.

"Y-you can ask that later" I can barely reply.

He laughed on my reply, "Okay, later" he teased again.

I almost sunk on my seat, why did I say that?! Am I getting crazy?! The teacher must've heard his laugh so she turned to look at him. 

"Mr. Monteverde, am I saying anything funny here?" she strictly asked. 

And this asshole smiled again before answering, "No, ma'am" 

"Then why are you laughing?" she asked again, now crossing her arms. Uh-oh, Ms. Smith is an extremely strict teacher, I'm sure he'll ask him something about the topic. And what if she asks me? I don't know anything! 

I shifted on my seat uncomfortably when he answered again, "Your beauty is distracting ma'am, I found myself funny" he stifled a laugh after. 

I almost laughed too, okay. When I turned to look at Audri, she was smiling too. Can this guy be serious for once? For Pete's sake! His excuse worked a little on her because I can see her blushing when our classmates teased him more. 

"That's not enough. What was our topic again? Repeat what I said" she turned serious again. 

"We are tackling about the introduction of Chemistry ma'am. You said that chemistry the branch of science that deals with the identification of the substances of which matter is composed; the investigation of their properties and the ways in which they interact, combine, and change; and the use of these processes to form new substances. You also told us that later on after this class we'll have to define the 5 main branches of chemistry which are the organic, inorganic, analytical, physical and the biochemistry." he swiftly recited. 

My mouth almost dropped when he finished. When did he heard all of that? He was busy pestering me! 

The teacher had the same reaction as mine and the rest of the class. He even winked when he finished reciting. The nerve of this guy! 

The teacher cleared her throat before speaking, "You may sit down, don't laugh on my class again." she said and proceeded on discussing the other parts. 

"Did I do good?" he asked, giving me a wink after. 

"Troy, where did you get the book?" Audri whispered when Asher sat down. 

"I've read it on our old school's library last year. I wasn't exactly listening" he smugly said while making himself comfortable on his seat. 

Audri pouted in response and she started writing on her notebook again. She's looks cute while pouting, but why am I stuck with this two geniuses? I don't exactly know why!
