Chapter 1 – The Girl Who Never Looked Back
Rain poured over the city as Faye Peraya stepped off the bus, carrying nothing but a worn backpack and a dream she refused to abandon.
At twenty-two, Faye had already learned that life never handed out easy victories. Every achievement came from hard work, sleepless nights, and sacrifices no one noticed.
Today was different.
It was her first day at Pariya Corporation, the country's fastest-growing technology company.
Standing before the towering glass building, Faye took a deep breath.
“This is where my future begins.”
Inside the company, another person was starting his day.
Atom Pariya.
The youngest CEO in the company's history.
Brilliant. Reserved. Cold.
Employees respected him, but few truly knew him. Rumors said he never smiled and trusted no one after losing someone important years ago.
When Atom entered the lobby, everyone stepped aside.
Everyone except Faye.
Distracted by the company map, she accidentally bumped into him. Her documents scattered across the floor.
“Oh no! I'm so sorry!”
Atom silently picked up a folder and handed it to her.
“You should watch where you're going,” he said before walking away.
Faye blinked.
“He's handsome... but seriously, what a grumpy guy.”
The employees gasped.
“Did she just talk back to the CEO?”
Faye froze.
“...CEO?”
Her face turned red.
Meanwhile, Atom continued walking.
For the first time in years, a tiny smile appeared on his face.
He didn't know why.
But their simple encounter would soon change both their lives forever.
