On the Road Two young people, alone and searching for meaning in their lives, meet by chance. They share their hopes and doubts, then they go their separate ways. Seeing each other again on some far-off day would normally involve impossible odds. Coincidence, however, does not exist… when you hitchhike into the Twilight Zone. ***** An abrupt surge of anger overwhelmed Tod Kwan, anger at the painting on his easel, at his routine, at the repetition. In fury, he flung the palette and brush like they were diseased, to clatter on the polished red cedar floor. His heart pounding, he grabbed his canvas off the easel and smashed it over the back of a wooden chair like he was destroying giant vermin. The wood ripped through the canvas and the torn fabric slapped his left forearm with wet paint.
