Rob had already observed that Daphne exhibited a different demeanor when they were alone together. Her gaze towards him was altered, yet he attributed no ill intent to it, as she remained his ex-wife's best friend and the wife of his brother. Regardless of his acknowledgment, he felt a sense of discomfort whenever she approached him.
This was reminiscent of the time they began working in their house. Each day, she requested that he pick flowers from the garden for her and deliver them to her room.
Daphne was fully aware that he would be the one to bring the flowers, yet she often did not dress appropriately in his presence. On occasion, she would greet him wearing only a bra and thong, taking the flowers from his hands while deliberately brushing her body against his skin.
