Victoria wasn’t one to back down. If they thought they had seen the last of her, they were dead wrong. She had spent the last two days making calls, meeting with certain people, and ensuring she wasn’t going down alone. The Hemmingways had power, sure. But she had something better, people willing to get their hands dirty. And tonight, it would begin. Danielle hummed as she locked up the house, checking the windows one last time before heading upstairs. Marshall was rubbing and had come in. Danielle wanted to get home. Their son still wasn't feeling well, and Emilla wanted some time with her mom as well. But the moment she stepped into the bedroom, a chill ran down her spine. Something was off. Her gaze swept over the room. Nothing looked disturbed, but the feeling wouldn’t go away.
